Regarding the random vocals, network executives were also glad when those theme song voices were removed. Jerry, Larry and the composer decided to throw some non-sequitur "scat" lyrics into the theme to "give it some 'pop'." But they didn't consult anyone else about it. The executives and many others hated it and demanded it never be put into another episode again. That is why we never hear it ever again. And you, like all the rest of us, are glad they did too.

Elaine's roommate Tina was played by Siobhan Fallon (Irish- pronounced 'sheh-VONN'). She appeared in 2 Seinfeld episodes- season 2 and 3 before becoming an SNL cast member for 1 season. She returned for one Season 5 episode. Siobhan has had some memorable minor roles like - bus driver Dorothy Harris in Forrest Gump, and Edgar's wife in Men In Black.

Actually, per Wikipedia, Seinfeld requested them and both he and Larry David liked them. However, they didn't tell NBC and Castle Rock about the addition and CR really did not like them. They had already edited the first 3 episodes, so episodes 2 and 3 had to be reëdited to remove the voices.

About the vocals: Jerry thought it would be cool to add some backup vocals to the theme song and had them thrown into an episode without telling anyone. Apparently everyone else was unhappy with the decision so they changed it back to the regular theme song for the next episode but allowed him to keep the vocalize intro for the episode he added it to.

1:40 Oh right, this is...."It moved." 🤣 Not that I'm likely to have the particular issue George has, but I've never had a massage, nor will I. Laying there while some rando (male or female) rubs you has always just seemed like an odd prospect to me. 12:12 Even on the original airing back in the day, I knew by the end of this scene that George was going to nuke the entire situation, because for him...This is the way. 14:41 "This is no good....this is no good." 😂 A simple line repeated, but the inflection Jerry adds makes it a quote I use to this day.

One of the two unanswered questions of the series were How does Kramer afford to live? For starters, he inherited that apartment from someone so it's rent-controlled - so it's cheaper. We find out in an episode of Mad About You that Paul Reiser used to live there and he signed over the apartment to Kramer. One theory is Kramer makes all his money from gambling. In an upcoming episode he wins about $18K betting on horses, but in later episodes he gives up gambling. Another theory is Kramer is a trust fund baby. He gets a monthly allowance, but there's flaws in that theory too. The other mystery is Why do Jerry and Newman hate each other? No real reason is ever given for that, so just relax and enjoy it.

5:05 - if George can't afford $75 because he's out of work, how does he have insurance to pay for it?
