The "Seinfeld" set was a barrel of laughs as evidenced by this video. Nothing wrong with enjoying your work and being able to laugh off your mistakes. The cast had a great rapport and genuinely seemed to enjoy one another's company.

Just because Michael Richards might not be as carefree or easy-going as the others doesn't make him an asshole. He likely just wants to stay in character and not get off track so they can finish shooting. There are also a number of times that he starts joking and laughing along with them. Although I would never defend his remarks from a few years ago, I don't get the impression from this clip that he was a jerk on set.

Kramer was the best dressed character of the whole show. Watching this now, everyone looks so silly with their clothes except Kramer. It's like he's not even part of the written show but he actually exists within that world and everyone else is an actor who came to work that morning and changed into their wardrobe. Nothing seems out of the ordinary with him, even though he's the most out of the ordinary character in it.
