This was one of my favorite "Seinfeld" plots, and I know the series inside and out. In the scene after this, Jerry comes out of the restroom and tells George, "Oh, shut up, you couldn't do it either." George responds, "I know."

The Switch, The Contest, The Soup Nazi, The kick so many other episodes, all wonderfully written and acted, all comedy gold. No wonder it’s always voted the best sitcom ever. Frasier comes a good second, but it’s nowhere near as good as Seinfeld.

If you mean the planning montage with the saxaphone music, it's really just generic film noir. In fact, they should have went to black and white for it for an extra touch.

The scene was in no way a parody of this particular noir film, but just for the record, I think the music came directly from Taxi Driver, starring Robert De Niro. Either that, or the music was meant to sound very similar to the score for that film.
