Nice.. A K-5 on 44’s with a big block posied up on both ends is a very capable platform.. I built mine with an s-10 body on top and A dana-60/14bolt..it did Very well everywhere I took it,mud, sand, hill climb, trails, etc Won a lot of money with the old girl back in the 90’s..That bolt found in the pan looks to be one of the three bolts that hold the timing gear on to the cam.. Lots of treasures found in that pan.lol Good work guys! Send it!

I made custom skid plates for it and made a winch carrier front bumper. The body was pretty trashed but it was one heck of an off roader. As long as you prep the surface correctly and give the JB weld to hold to it works every time!!! Rust in the rockers is no biggie. Where you need to look is the rear seat floor pan corners and the tailgate mounting brace. That's where they all blow out. The rot around the bottom of the B pillars comes from the pinch weld above the door where the rain gutter/drip rail is. Nobody looks up there, including the factory. It needs seam sealer to keep the water out. This is a unique Blazer issue since pickups have a screw on drip rail.

Next time backfill the fuel lines and give the pump equal pressure fore and aft and it'll pump!

Fun video. I was curious if I missed something or did you guys look at bearings? I did a slugged up cc Ford years ago and flush motor cc with about 10 gallons of diesel and bearing swap. Got another 100 k out of her ty for the entertainment.

@@TomWinkle-ct9jz no, we didn’t check the bearings, we had already decided if this motor didn’t work out, we would go ahead and just swap another motor in to save time and probably money as well. Thanks for watching!
