Wow what an amazing day we had at beautiful Magic Kingdom ‪@DisneyParks‬. Landon had 4 micro focus seizures in the middle of the park, something that has not happened to us before in a place like this. The love and support his siblings showed made this day even more special. A memory we will never forget!

@Frances Sexton Depends on the person. Some people are highly affected by flashing lights which is why they are told to avoid events such as Fireworks or Rock concerts (any concerts that use lighting really) others its only if they're tired stressed or overheated (i.e been in the sun all day and their body's warm) also I've known people that even have seizures if its too noisy around them (basically what happens is their senses overload and the neurons skip because of this thus causing a seizure). Here's an example from one of my friends from HS. For him he typically had seizures when he was really young (

Your kids are so amazing, obviously your parenting is spot on to see them all loving on each other, not just for the camera either, very natural, this is the big part of what I miss now that my family has shrunk. I know it is not fun having seizures even when there small. I have epilepsy and I have big seizures and small ones. I also understand the wheelchair for Landon. He is a strong young man. I wondered about Landon & all the flashing lights. Knowing that strobe lights are not too good for anyone who has seizures. Sorry Lando for having to go through that. Especially at Disneyland. Feel better. 😌

Only 3% of people with epilepsy are effected by flashing lights/have photosensitive seizures... he would have known during testing. It was likely the heat/being tired etc. it's not a trigger for him...

Hi everyone! I have noticed lots of questions about seizures they are not always caused by flashing lights. They can be caused by heat, excitement and many other things. I myself have cerebral palsy and did not grow up with seizures but have had them as an adult. They are just unpredictable and annoying we hate missing out on life. So lets just pray for Landon and wish him more happy adventures. Also, to Landon using a wheelchair is not a bad thing we do what we have to get around:)
