@@gohlincoln1243 They actually don't. Red Mortal Blade is at Sekiro while Black Mortal Blade is at Owl who is at Sekiro's side. So even if the player deaths in the Shura ending were canon (They're not since Emma is alive in every retry), they wouldn't be able to stop Sekiro from coming back again and again until he succeeded.

@Cthulhu RPGs are fucking overdone in Fromsoft's titles. You have three souls games, Demon's Souls, and Bloodborne. Each and every one of them has hundreds of hours of content EACH and they all have focus on builds and levelling. It gets boring as hell after you do it hundreds of times. It's also boring when your character's power plays such a huge role in boss beating. People can say "git gud" all they want, but boss battles in those games boils down to mashing the dodge and attack button. This isn't bad, but again, it gets old.

Try just parrying it with the sword. All you really have to do is spam block and then time it for the final sword swipe

i like how you made him mechanically turn towards his enemies and the way he walks slowly making sekiro look strange and unnatural, something that you would expect shura to be. also that tanto use after emma was sick.

Very nice!! The umbrella is one of the most underrated prosthetics to keep pressure on bosses. It turns grabs into deflectable attacks to prevent bosses recovering posture while players avoid it. And it is actually better than the mikiri counter for thrusts until the bosses health is lower bc they start to recover posture from it while you’re still locked in the mikiri animation. I get that you were trying to not overuse it, I think you struck a good balance. And using the umbrella for the end of Emma’s combo where she locks swords with you gets you out of that animation and does immediate damage to keep posture recovering even more. Good stuff 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I wouldn’t give her two lives since isshin has two, and he’s in a league of his own. I think they struck a nice balance. Because even with her one life, she is still a major threat if you don’t take her seriously.

@@Purp1ehaz3 Well, the other endings have Genichiro with one life and Isshin with three lives (four in total). This one's only three in total. Also, it's sad that Emma isn't even really a boss nor a mini boss. You don't get battle memory or prayer beads upon defeating her.

I thought Sword Saint Isshin was my favorite bossfight, until i did the Shura ending. I fell in love with the bossfight, and with the ending in general, that made me feel involved in the story: every time i felt bad for killing Emma, and felt good for stabbing the Owl in the back. This became easily my favorite From Software game, stealing the first place to Bloodborne.

Sekijo’s journey obviously gave him the potential to be a shura, and eventually becomes one. However I like to think that the demon spirit resides in the shinobi prosthetic since that’s where the flames start after completing the shura ending. Part of Shura’s influence on Sekiro is from a literal piece of Sekijo. Discarding the prosthetic represents repentance for all the killing and the shinobi life.

Not to flex but i notice mistakes, things he could've done better, i'm on ng+4 so i've had my fair share of sekiro, it's very difficult but once you get it, you just get it, the first phase is a typical fight,just gotta be careful, second one not at first, but after enough times, there's some way to block or dodge or parry every single thing

Well if I remember it right you can use it to continue the combo even after the boss parries but you can also just use floating passage, spiral cloud passage or praying strikes to do that. However if the boss decides to dodge it, it will be wasted. But don't take my word for this, I might remember it wrong, you should try it yourself.

This is unrelated but I just learned you can deflect lightning before doing the reversal R1 to drastically reduce chip damage. You may already know this but it was cool to see somebody do it and thought it could look cool in a video sometime. I’m definitely doing it every time now and I’m surprised more people don’t talk about it with as much as players struggle with reversing lightning.

Evan Stephens Apparently you can completely nullify the chip damage if you use the Mist Raven prosthetic at the moment you’d be hit. Doing it without holding a direction also launches you straight up, so you still have plenty of time to do the reversal. An added bonus is that, if you use the final upgrade on the tree, you’re also cloaked in fire as you do your lightning reversal, which looks badass as hell.

SSI phase 2 and 3 are totally doable without parries. You just bait his jump attack and attack from behind (this will take at least 10-15 minutes tho). But I am not sure about phase 1. There are many attacks where you can run behind him and get 1-2 attacks in. But I am not sure if you can survive without parrying
