In many ways, this was the greatest bluegrass band of all time. They were newgrass when newgrass wasn't even a genre. And the one and only larger than life John Duffy -- what is there to say? Immortal.

it's fun for me to see old videos of my uncle Mike Auldridge on dobro. He has hardly changed.

John never got old, he was always just a big kid, my how I miss him and the rest. May they all R.I.P. with God and the Angels, am sure they love bluegrass too.

A great Band doing a great tune. Although the "The Seldom Scene with John Starling" caption early in this video is a curious error; John had long since left the Scene when this video was captured. They used to play at the Red Fox Inn in Bethesda before they moved to the Birchmere in northern Virginia.
