I think linking Azura to vanity is dead on, because vanity is really all about positive recognition and praise for something that is inherently vapid or shallow. Vanity is often attributed to beauty but it's also other empty gestures and self serving actions that fall in to the category and that's vary Daedric prince sounding... and to be fair most of the time Azura doesn't sound vary Daedric Prince like. Now I think about it she probably likes it that way. Adding to the possible connection between Azura and Lucifer Morning Star (aka the Devil) they both need or are obsessed even with being loved by mortals, also being beautiful or at least be seen as beautiful, and the desire to be seen as the "good guy" The similarity between the two isn't exact for example Lucifer dose all this in order to spite someone, that someone being God. Along the lines of "you think they love you? I can make them love me more" and so on. As far as I know there isn't anyone Azura is directly opposed to no one she is trying to steal it away from... if so, at least not in the same way. Unless that person is Dibella but that doesn't make a lot of sense. As far as I know the two have little to no connection besides the beauty thing. As a side note. I my be wrong but I thought Azura's Star wasn't just an artifact but an actual star as well. On the horizon line under the steed birthsign but it can only be seen at dawn and dusk. (This part is only speculation) but I thought that's where Moonshadow roughly in oblivion as well.

Nice one. You'll probably want to redo this one in the future though, there's so much more to talk about. Specially Azurah since the Elsweyr ESO chapter. Amazing thought fuel

Now I wonder if she could be the god of "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"? Would explain the vanity (AKA being obsessed with the mortal's "eyes", and their perception of her), the very narrow view of what is "beautiful" as seen in her Daggerfall freakout, and transition could be her taking something that is "ugly", and then turning it beautiful, prophecy could have a similar explanation.. Maybe. I kinda like it.

the sun, the moon and the star. it's in tarot. There, it represents divinity. But, we get only the moon and the star, where's the sun? Azura is the sun, the thing that connects the stars and the moon. Azura is a bridge between the Aedra and Daedra
