I'm sure I'm wrong and/or misunderstood conflicting stories as one, but the way I always stitched it together was that the Leaper king was cursed by Alduin and became Dagon, and the Magna-ge created Mehrunes in Lig with the razor and the two merged into one entity Mahrunes Dagon. Almost like mantling each other... the idea being because they were the same favor of destruction.

I’m surprised no one talked about Mehrunes Dagon destroying Ald Sotha. I saw someone mention that in the chat as well. I don’t think there’s really any information there beyond that Dagon destroyed it to be fair, but any speculation would be interesting to hear
