Being in love with someone for so long and then had to break away from that person truly kills you inside and out...all the love songs to you remind you of how impossible for you to be in love again with someone else the same way you once did with that person...and all the songs about heartbreaks will emphasize on your own heartache and longing of what was once there. At least...that is how I feel my first love of 14-15 years (best friends for 6 years within that) and still am coming out of it. I don't think I will ever be able to love again...truly. So when I see Selena I feel like I am seeing myself. My pain. However, I sincerely want the best for her and hope she finds her true happiness.

I feel that. I loved someone for two years of my life, was best friends with him for four years. He went from being my favorite person on the planet to someone that won't even text me back. Currently, I don't believe I'll ever love someone again as much as I loved him. He was my all and I can't imagine finding someone better. He just sort of faded away. Luckily we never had any fights but I think eventually he simply stopped loving me and wanted to leave. Every song I listen to, every day I wake up, I think of him. Everything feels ruined and grey. Sometimes I feel like I need some inspiration to continue with life, and Selena is usually the person I go to for that. I'll listen to her songs or wath interviews of her speaking about mental health. I'm glad we have people like her to look up to at difficult times. A break up almost killed me, but I got through it day by day, and listened to her songs and tried to look for a future where I could move on and pick myself up again, which is exactly what I did. Honestly whether you’re a Selena fan or not, you can’t deny how much heartbreak can really take toll on a person.
