embarrassment. I'd get why chicanos don't know Spanish. But if you have dominican parents you should know. You ain't dominican.

Camila speaks it better. She was actually born in Cuba, so

Nina 88 being born at place doesn’t mean they know the main language. I known people born in Mexico that speak horrible Spanish. Camilla does NOT know how to speak proper Spanish AT ALL
@Nina-8565 жыл бұрын
@@senorita3448 ok I know. I know people who were born here and have Latino parents, but can't speak Spanish. But Camila can make sentences and a conversation with people in Spanish. Selena can't. She has to rehearse them.

I'm in the same predicament as Selena lol. My parents divorced when I was a kid and my mom always encouraged me not to speak Spanish cuz she hated my father. It's the one regret I'll always have in life. I can understand Spanish because I always listened when visiting my father and abuelitos, but I can't speak it much because I never grew up regularly practicing speaking. My Spanish is super butchered grammatically and I can't recall much words outside of conversational language.

idk why this is in my recommended but this always made me kind of sad... I feel the media really pressured her to learn Spanish and her marketing team really tried to drive that home and when you think about it, it's not really fair that she was expected to do that considering she was raised by her mother who isnt hispanic to the best of my knowledge. If she wants to claim that part of her then that's great, but it would be sad if it was forced on her
@opinionsandfaxc2 жыл бұрын
media never pressured her to do anything. its that she calls herself latina and Mexican always despite not growing up with the culture so people call her out for saying all of that but not being able to speak the main language Mexicans do.
