She would only be big if she would of continued her career singing R&B. Tejano music been dead for 20 yrs now.
@yoncestan.66086 жыл бұрын
@nick Yanez: Tejano music is still going strong. J Balvin is one of the most successful latin singers right now & even he made a tejano song. Selena didn’t sing traditional tejano music. She sang all types of music & she mixed tejano with Cumbria, reggae, R&B, Pop, etc. She is bigger than Tejano.
@conservativetexan22896 жыл бұрын
AA BB bro it’s not . You don’t see tejano musicians in the Grammys anymore or or see it all over TV like in the 90s. My uncle Danny Yanez thought the same and my cousin frankly caballero thought the same. I remember Steve Jordan coming over to speak with dad and uncle Danny to talk music. I’m sure you know those names
@yoncestan.66086 жыл бұрын
@nick Yanez: I get what you’re saying. It’s not as big as it used to be. But it’s still there. There are still millions of people listening to Tejano and I’m one of them.

She could've been involved in scandals, etc. I am sad for what happened to her but I also don't think she was that great like many people tend to say because we will never know what she could've been

This may sound silly but sometimes I like to close my eyes and imagine these videos of her are live and that she’s still here right now. It’s too sad to think about the fact that she’s gone. It truly saddens and angers me to this day that she isn’t here with us and got her life cut so short. Selena would have been a mega star and it hurts to know that she had that all taken away from her so innocently. There’s been lots of sad celebrity deaths but Selena’s hits harder than anyone else in my opinion. We all still miss you Selena!

She was so beautiful. It’s such a tragedy. She and I are born the same year. It is truly so sad that just as she crossed over to mainstream, she was taken from the physical world in such a senseless way. The fact that she couldn’t even star in her English song music videos simply because she was no longer here.. so unfair. I often think about how she would have continued to succeed and would have been one of the few celebrities who would always stay true to herself and her values. She was beautiful inside and out. The world lost a good soul that day and mourned. I can’t even begin to imagine how devastated her family and husband were. Soar with the angels Selena!! 🙏🏻❤️
