Selena had a tradition of asking a male volunteer to come on stage during some of her concerts. She would then serenade him with "Que Creias" which is essentially a song about a woman telling her ex-lover to get lost. I'm sure the lucky few that got to be serenaded like this by Selena during her short time on earth wishes they too had their versions immortalized like this on KZbin :)

The song is called “que creias”...”what did you think?” Shes telling a story of from a past lover who thought they could play with so she says in the chorus in rough translation “what did you think would happen, you can leave”. Powerful song about leaving someone who takes you for granted.

Thanks so much for reacting! This is one of the videos I sent! This is one of my favorites that is usually sung in a mariachi style. She always asked a male to volunteer to be her “ex-novio (boyfriend)”. “Que Creías” or “What did you think?” is about a woman telling off her ex-boyfriend. She lets him know that he can’t just come back and expect forgiveness; he can’t just go and think he is going to find a better love than hers, and then expect her be happy when he sees that he was wrong and wants to come back. So I'm also a Tejano musician myself and I was playing around the same time as her. She had such an amazing voice, personality, she could dance, she knew how to engage her fans and she knew how to make them ALL feel special, because to her they truly were special to her!! So what she was singing to him was about him leaving her, she was asking him what was he thinking, did he truly believe he was going to find someone better than her, did he truly believe she was going to forgive him for all he's done to her, if so she basically told him to get the f out of here🤣🤣🤣🤣. The song title is "English What Did You Think," her brother A.B and Ricardo Vela who played keyboard in her band. It's such a powerful song, till this day I STILL get goosebumps all over when I hear her sing it. I actually remember one time she got really sick and everyone wanted her to cancel the show, but she was such a dedicated musician and loved her fans so much she didn't want to let them down and go home empty handed. So she came out and performed one of her best shows, that's how much she loved her fans. Thank you so much from the Tejano community for keeping her memory alive by reacting to her songs. I'm new to your channel, but I've seen that you guys have done a few reaction videos to her songs. This is EXACTLY how her memory is NEVER going to die, by people playing her music, especially channels that have a large following.

Hi guys. She's actually done this type of performance before. A few on a larger scale like on a tv show "Johnny canales" the premise to the song is of a woman telling her X that she is not taking him back and the title of the song means "did you think?" So she is asking him did you think you were gonna find a better love then me? And so on. So in these performances she gets a random guy to be the "Guinea pig " to do this.
