The Spirit came to me this year in the biggest way ever in my life (during Lent). I learned through the way the Spirit came: I was on my couch relaxing and holding my new baby daughter, and trying to pray the Jesus Prayer, but I knew it was not real prayer, and I had never had real prayer but rarely, perhaps. But it occurred to me then, I could ask God why, so I asked why and immediately I got an answer within me: I must first ask for prayer, I should never believe I can have prayer through my own effort (humility lesson #1 for me). So when I now asked for prayer, truly believing I could not pray without the Spirit's help, suddenly a measure of peace and joy came and my prayer become somewhat genuine. After this, I realized I could now ask in prayer to have some passions which had been tormenting me my entire life to be removed, but as I prayed, I became aware that God was not answering, so then I asked God "why are you not answering my request to be free of these passions which You've told us are unhealthy for us?" and then the answer came "You do not believe I will or want to help you." When I realized this, my spirit naturally let go of her fear of God's judgement against me and began to ask in confidence for the removal of her spiritual illnesses, and over the coming months since then, their influence over me have been slowly decreasing and being replaced with true faith and trust in God. This is relevant to the archbishop's talk, here, because once the humility which motivates a true trust in God and desire to be obedient because of that trust is present, Perfect Love invades the heart and then it is natural and easy to have joy and to love even in trials, but all we must do is truly believe, truly have faith in God, and not worry about our current circumstances, but trust God will work everything out not just for good, but for the best, even better than before. God is good like this, always bringing even greater good after the tragedy than we could conceive of in the potential before the tragedy.

I humbly request that you consider limiting the number of ads within these videos that promote your other social media accounts and content for this KZbin channel. I feel that doing so right in the middle of Father’s sermon is disrespectful, and in a way, contradicts his message about the delusion of the ‘importance’ of having followers and ‘likes’. Maybe think about other ways to grow your audience, like by simply asking people to share your videos in the video’s description, and putting links to other social media accounts there as well (instead of over top of icons in the video😞) Thank you for reading this and giving it some thought. 🙏 I trust that if you pray on it, God will also send you in the direction of quieter, more respectful video production.
@otelders3 жыл бұрын
You're right Tina, we'll work on it and make it less intrusive. Just to give you an example of why promotion is needed sometimes: many viewers don't even realize these videos have English subtitles... if you can believe it...

As a western Christian, it's always strange to hear "Allah" used in a Christian context.
@justinaacuriouswanderer14963 жыл бұрын
the word Allah is only an arabic word for God, when you speak of a "god", does it necessarily mean you're speaking of the God of the Bible? maybe you're speaking about brahma the hindu god; same for the word "allah", it's not the nickname of a certain god, (in this case, the god of Islam & an illiterate 7th century caravan robber of nastorian origins), but any god you're referring to according to context. so "allah" is a very general noun.

@@PAOK-G4-Orcs The word, "Allah", is simply Arabic for the word, "God". Actually Arabian Christians had been using the word for hundreds of years prior to the rise of Islam. In Aramaic, the word is very similar.
