I remember when the WIZ had rap labeled as POETRY MUSIC. Born and raised in Jersey City, Kennedy Blvd. And YES THIS RAP IS AWESOME...... Going back to the beginning, no one knew what to call THIS once it came with the Sugar Hill Gang. It was crazy back in the 70s and 80s. I still think of this, in 1990, 2 LIVE CREW's album NASTY AS THEY WANT TO BE, was BANNED in Broward County, Florida. It was UNBELIEVABLE that music could be banned in AMERICA, hence the reason Bruce Springsteen gave them FREE rights to use the music BORN IN THE USA, to create the SONG, BANNED IN THE USA!!! Rap has come a LONGGGGG way. It was blamed for anything and everything back then huh??? Plus, people don't know Jersey City, Bayonne, Newark, you don't play games if you're NOT from there.
