Are there degrees of Self Awareness. And why do some behavior patterns still continue even after we've become conscious of them?

Thank you so much. What an important thing to remember, that we can't resolve EVERYTHING. We must prioritize. So good to clarify this❤☮️🙏

Once we get to know ourselves we are on the road to recovery and healing as well as the ease with which we gladly go into "self observation". Asking ourselves questions as to why we may have said or acted in certain ways is key to holding ourselves accountable and making amends to whoever we may have touched negatively. We are human - we are flawed, but our flaws can help us to grow and see that just because we are in a habit we can move away from it - but with and in time. Timing is everything for most things so if we can be patient, kind and see ourselves as a work of art then, our lives become easier. We all know when we are repeating a pattern that no longer serves us and that is a major red flag when our inner voice warns us and we once again repeat. We must take that as a calm, loving, guiding force that we are capable of moving away from that repetition. Specially when it doesn't feel good, when it harms us or others. We have more control over our lives than we think we do. I have become conscious of so many things because I go deep and many times it is challenging but, no one else can do this for me so being conscious and mindful is utmost in my life. It suits me to learn and know myself - and it also gives me the possibility to use this consciousness to know others. Thank you for your insights.

This question interests me a lot I suffer from these problems RAADS-R Test • Total Score: 175 • Indicates a strong likelihood of ASD traits. Empathy Quotient • Total Score: 20 • Suggests lower than average empathy, which can be associated with ASD. CAT-Q Test • Total Score: 159 • Suggests substantial camouflaging of autistic traits. Online Alexithymia Questionnaire • Total Score: 146 • Indicates significant alexithymic traits. Autism-Spectrum Quotient (AQ) Test • Total Score: 31 • Above the average, indicating a number of autistic traits. Toronto Empathy Questionnaire (TEQ) • This test appears to be taken but a score was not provided in the screenshots. The TEQ measures empathy, which is the ability to recognize and respond to others’ emotions. Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20) • Total Score: 68 • Indicates alexithymia. • Difficulty Describing Feelings Subtotal: 19 • Some difficulty in expressing emotions verbally. • Difficulty Identifying Feelings Subtotal: 31 • Significant difficulty in recognizing one’s own emotions. • Externally-Oriented Thinking Subtotal: 18 • A focus on external details rather than internal emotional experience. I have mindblindness and I struggle to understand feelings of my self and others take days to some time learn what it is I am feeling we’re negative feelings hit harder and make them selves more noticeable because I know negative feelings more and I know I have hidden my emotions, feelings my whole life and I have had a mask on my whole life I thought I was conscious as a person, but it was just perception which can be flawed. I was unaware of so many different aspects that were negative, but I devoted myself to figuring out how to become more consciously aware when naturally, I was an unconscious type of person, very unaware . Now I’m in the process of this exact question your answering I’m aware I have the insight, but I don’t have full control over all actions, but I’m getting there have you ever encountered a person in my situation seeking to become fully aware and conscious of everything as I am Especially someone with Neuro diverse traits

I'm so glad you shared your experience, and I can relate. I believe another component of our collective ascension and development of consciousness is developing the awareness and understanding that we aren't all having the same experience on a neurological (or social, emotional, physical, socioeconomic) level. You are working hard to find a different way to develop your ability to empathize with neurotypical people, but they should also spend time developing the ability to empathize with you. Everyone is an expression of God, and every human experience is one that God is having too. I wish you much success in your endeavors.

I find myself happy to look inward and solve or try too solve riddles and problems of my false personality , but when I see So many others who care Not one iota and seem to have No regard for looking at themselves or even admitting they may have issues it per plexes me to the point of depression and hostility.😞😠

Can you explore why it is you feel depression and hostility in reaction to the blindness of others? There's a riddle there to be solved.

Every time I go to the doctor or have a medical test, I tend to worry, I catch myself creating scenarios. I'm aware of that. I see it. I know it's a trauma from childhood. However, it persists. How can stop it or is it not necessary?

I'm curious to hear more about what you said at the end. Basically, you were saying that there's simply not enough time to expect to be able to resolve our biases, misperceptions, negative tendencies, etc. What does this mean for your views on enlightenment? Do you think that there is any such thing as being fully enlightened? And by extension what do you think this means for historical figures that many people would regard as fully enlightened; Jesus, the Buddha, etc. And what do you see as the aim of spiritual growth if it turns out that we can never become fully enlightened ourselves?
@AwakenInsight

My understanding of enlightenment is that it is the complete disidentification with the personal self. But this does not mean that the personal self ceases to exist, nor would it mean that all aspects of the personal self are known. Or to put it another way, there is a difference between being conscious of the mechanisms of the psyche and being conscious of one's essential nature. My understanding of spiritual growth as it relates to enlightenment is that there is much in the way of enlightenment in terms of unconscious beliefs and mechanisms. Doing the spiritual work is a way of clearing space or thinning the veils, becoming more open and receptive to the potentiality of enlightenment. But not everything has to be worked through. Just enough to be receptive of grace. But as someone not enlightened, this is simply my understanding based on what various teachers have said. It's possible it may not be accurate, so don't take it as conclusive.

But we ARE enlightened. My apartment is 91 m² and filled to the brim with stuff which doesn't hinder me in enjoying that space and using it as I see fit. "Fully" enlightened, though, is an oxymoron as I think of enlightenment as being empty enough and not being fully anything at all. Love.

I really should use my time more wisely, yo. For instance, I should say 'yo' after almost every sentence, yo. Like Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad. Church, yo!

...use our time wisely. Our physical situations are changing constantly. Friends get sick and some die before we do. We grow infirm or less achievement-able. The hill hasn't gotten any steeper, but it sure feels as though it has and I must ride my bike slower in order to make it up the hill. What the world is "offering" us is constantly changing, requiring decisions concerning my willingness to participate in this or that. The qualities and needs of the "team" in which we exist is also in flux and this, too, is making its demands and offering its benefits. A friend told me that he needed to paint a room in his house and I suggested asking my son (30) to help instead of doing something I would have gladly done 20 years ago. Personal tastes are changing - a drop with each breath. What's important today wasn't relevant, yesterday. Despite all this and more, it's the love and the joy which one might use as a guide and this doesn't change...much. Thanks, Nada.
