@SunOnShine A few pieces of advice. Start small so you're not overwhelmed. Start with easy veggies. Watch a lot of you tube videos and read a lot of books. Happy gardening.👍😁😁😁😁

You are exactly right!!! We should all live more this way. The idea of huge houses and more stuff is thrown at us from the time we are born. We want to show people how living with the land is farm more fulfilling than having all the stuff!

I that idea in mind for my daughter's but it's been so hard to find land near LA county I can afford to get started I will keep working off farm until I get it established

I so agree!! Or cutting their large bedroom in half and making another bedroom...I raised my own 6 children and at times my husband and I would take the smallest bedroom to make sure that the kids always had enough space

I have watched this family from the start! You must subscribe to them if you are interested in homesteading. Wonderful family plus you will learn so much. They didn't say anything about Lacy and how she is a master at healing with herbs and plants. Also she can drive the big guns like excavators etc.! She is amazing! And so is Mike! What a great family and environment they created. I just subscribed to their channel. Love keeping the clothes in the laundry area. Really the logical place for them. That beautiful pond where the ducks could swim. That’s where I would be having my morning coffee. Glad they have been there 6 years. I loved seeing the Fit Farmer and family on your channel. I follow them on youtube and they are the best. Hardworking, authentic, honest and loving family. A tiny yourte with such a big and smart Enterprise is absolutely amazing! What a team in this family. That’s clearly a proof that there is other way of living. Never seen vegetable as nice as these. This IS the dream! This is what I have dreamed of for a long time. I'm happy for them and I love how the whole family is involved. Their childeren will have this amazing knowledge and skills.

I know this is a result of ...and continuous effort and hard work and intelligence, of you guys, but looks so bucolic and paradisiac and clean and well maintained, it almost makes us forget how much time and dedication you've put to create this almost dream lifestyle. Congrats guys. The Lord's blessings to y'all ! Thanks for sharing.(Note: "...seeing the ducks express their duckness in the pond !" ...was priceless! Simply duckriative !)

I love the way the children are included in duties on the farm. This is a lost practice in man my families and children grow up unable to fend for themselves, work out problems or just lazy. Ya done good!

It is so nice to see the whole homestead. I am glad to see you found some property. Around here, it is too well populated for roosters, but here & there you find a few hens. Wonderful pond, beautiful land.

Brilliant. I love that bit where Mike says they underestimated the amount of work involved and the challenges, but that they also underestimated how satisfying the lifestyle is turned out to be. Great story, great snapshot into this kind of living. love it.
