I am a dude, and I am so flipping excited for my wedding. I have tried to be as involved in all the planning since day 1. It is definitely not "just a girl thing". Update: The wedding was great! Been married for 3 weeks now and couldn't be happier. The planning process is stressful, but seeing it all come together and being able to enjoy the day with the love of your life is soooo worth it. Brandon definitely missed out on that payoff. 2.5 year update: We had our first kid in December. A little girl!

Every simple thing was a battle and he vetoed every decision no matter how much time and energy I put into it. He’d come in at the last second and say he hated it. After 20 years it made me feel like I couldn’t make any decisions on my own. I felt worthless. It took me that long for my kids but I eventually left because I couldn’t stand it anymore. He was an only child too who’s parents made him think he was the most important person in the world and his needs mattered above anyone else’s. She’d be WAY better off to get out now before she does have a kid and the decision is much more difficult!!
