I got those vibes too, with everyone telling her not to argue with him. If he's not physically abusive, then at least emotionally abusive and manipulative. I wonder why she married him.
@armandowillem36944 жыл бұрын
Probably married him cuz of having the baby while she's young, plus I bet he promised her things, then he came over, didn't work, caused drama in front of her family being they live together, (hence the "let him win arguments/do what he says" comments from Dad and the mad mad shade from Moms). Plus if she's Brazilian and still lives with her peeps, (and if they're old school), more than likely they're Catholic which speaks to her keeping the baby at a younger age and marriage to an older American man hoping for a better life than the one she had in Brazil. It's still considered disgraceful in certain locales to be a unwed young mother. So he probably banked on his moms letting them stay till he could "find work" but she nipped that in the bud. All in all I feel bad for her getting saddled with the wrong guy. No planning and ill prepared to be responsible for two additional lives let alone his own.

Will take a long time and a lot of little changes. I was very lucky to find an excellent counsellor who genuinely cares and shares the feeling of success in the little achievements I have. Also, Jordan Peterson's book (12 rules for life) and online lectures are a bit of a needed kick in the nuts. I understand people who don't know what it's like themselves to judge, but the guy might have reasons (other than the usually assumed selfish, lazy, etc) or even been through some shit so that's personally why I always reserve judging, anyway, I was still a bit disappointed with all the insults etc. in the comments. Remember the guy is no different to you in the sense you could have turned out just like him and he can still change to be more like your idealised self. I think her mom didn't indeed say "Take care of yourself" It's so hard to hear but it sonds like "Cuida bem do seu filho" which means "Take care of your son". Which may suggest her mom doesn't trust him even in taking care of his own baby! :O

Wow. That's sad if she did say that. Tbh, I would worry more about the baby than Paul too.

the issue isn't with kids living with their parents, the issue is that he has a whole separate family and no job to support them, besides the fact he is an absolute prick lol and yeah I'm trying to defend my own case here being 25 and with my mother, I don't have kids nor a partner though and moving separately would mean a huge cost both on my mom and on me monthly, when even together the money just ain't cutting it much :'( then again I don't have a crap relationship with her unlike this dude.
@mscookie36134 жыл бұрын
Hey same I’m 25 and I live with my dad but the difference is we consciously chose to do so after I finished college and his living situation was up in the air so we decided to buy a house together. I only knock people for living at home when they don’t contribute (either by paying partial rent, the major share of chores for the house, or saving up to move out in the future) bc then you are literally free loading on your parents. I despise 20+ year olds who live at home, have jobs, but spend all their money on themselves and expect their parents to still do their chores & make them food.

I dated a Lebanese women once that told me "in Lebanon sometimes children will decide to stay single for life and take care of their parents it is seen as the most respectful thing a child can do in the household" With that being said, if you can't meet, someone who can respect you then it's totally okay being with your family. At this point I'm 35, I don't live with my father, he lives with me. I take care of him even though he doesn't want me to. As of now I am trying to help finish paying off my mothers debts so they can finally have the beautiful house they are paying with just their retirement. My parents really would like for me to be married and have grandchildren.. but hey what can you do.

I find it fascinating that in every 90-day fiance the American never learns the foreigner's language. I get it, it's a show for English speakers, but given how relationships normally work... feels like both parties should show some interest in each other's languages or cultures instead of just the one living outside of America
@emmaarms89204 жыл бұрын
Mustashee ive seen two, one they meet on a language website to learn languages, so they learnt the language. The other one the english speaker had just been picking it up and her husband had been teaching her, but it wasnt till after the show. Other than those two idk if there isnt any other ones.
