I’ve been hired before among thousands of candidates just because of your advices and I am about to have an interview for another job and I’m still watching your videos to be enlightened and to prepare my answers. Thank you so much for all of your efforts in making us see what we do wrong and correct it.

How do you avoid sounded scripted?
@edwinasco5570 Жыл бұрын
@@jesica9540 because I wasn’t answering immediately jus like if I have a saved answer in my memory engine. I was giving postures like if I was just thinking of the answer. And you can use sounds like hmmm good question, what I’m thinking of is …. ,,, or well … if you are asking about this, then ….. and i sounded normal. Just talk from your heart but with a predefined answer. Don’t just surprise by the question because with the interview circumstances, you will be nervous and preparing your answers would help a lot.
@edwinasco5570 Жыл бұрын
@@jesica9540 another thing is, her advices help me to see what I should say and what I should avoid because sometimes and because I’ve had a tough job. I thought if I told them about my job circumstances, they would have an empathy on me and would see me as a super girl and hire me, but in fact, they don’t care. They want someone who is passionate about their company business and not someone who is complaining or doing super tough things.

This is why I want to work for myself. I had a toxic manager that fired me and don’t want to bring them up or that job at all during interviews. Still trying to heal from it. I don’t want to have toxic positivity about the job when it affected my mental health so much. Wondering if I should just remove it from my resume.
@peppermintwarrior4816 Жыл бұрын
Agreed! I can't NOT talk about my last manager at my most recent 15-year job, but Madeline's "Why did you resign from your previous job? TOP Examples for this Job Interview Question" video helps IMMENSELY. She's put the link in the description above.

Exactly! These are real problems that ppl struggle with in their job search.. it's hard to discuss the professional aspects of the job in a positive way when there was so much toxicity that affected the work scenarios. Especially when they do all them describe a time you had a difficult situation scenarios. How do I even tell me stories without saying the wrong thing.

Many interviewers will send the questions ahead of time. As an introvert, I like this because I can make notes about things I want to highlight. That's not the same thing as a script, correct? I did that for the job I have now and mentioned that I had made notes. They didn't seem to mind. In fact they hired me!

Great advice! To suit my search, I weeded out mismatched employers and projects by keeping certain information in my profile and resume (i.e. Yes to volunteering for Greenpeace.). It pre-qualifies opportunities for me and keeps recruiters on track.

I bring notes! I include highlights I want the employer to know about that I may not have gotten an opportunity to mention in interview question responses. For example I'm currently studying for the SHRM-SCP exam and will follow that with the CCP exam. Neither are on my resume because they're in progress, but I want employers to know I'm pursuing them. I usually mention my highlights at the end of the interview if I've already asked my questions and there is still time in the interview.

I use notes and put questions I intend to ask the interviewer. I remember one interview where the person proactively answered all but one of my questions. So when they asked if I had questions I just said you have answered all the ones I prepared except X. Can you tell me more about (insert question here). I ended up working for that lady until she retired and it was a great fit.

Let's say I'm interviewing for a company which has a lot of offices all around the world, and my personal plan is to move abroad within that company. Would it be a good idea to tell the interviewer that I see myself working abroad for that company in 5 years time?

@Self Made Millenial Thanks so much for making these videos; they are really helping as I'm preparing myself for interviews! Obviously she means your PERSONAL social media is none of the employer's business. If you work in visual art then it's only typical to have a professional social media page or an online portfolio of some sort.
