Dave is by far one of the most genuine dudes out there. There's so much free value (not just shameless plugs for courses like many of these "gurus" selling $1000+ courses most of which you can learn for free from daves' channel) and on top of that he could easily charge a subscription for publisher rocket but he charges the one time fee. If that doesn't constitute as being a good dude then I don't know what the hell does

Fabbo advice, but in the 2 years since this came out, things have changed at Amazon. Today I cannot find the form mentioned for requesting additional categories, and the first two KDP agents I chatted with said only the 3 cats of the details page are allowed now. Can you perhaps remark on the current procedure? Thanks!😀

hi april, i loved this interview and am returning to it now! i have one question: does kdp allow self-published authors to include comp titles or comp authors (eg, titles of traditionally-published books or authors) in their kdp book description and on the back of their actual kdp print books? or is that considered possibly 'misleading' a customer, even if you think the comps are a good fit?

I have a question: My children's book has already been published; however I didn't realize how important a subtitle is. Would you recommend uploading the book again, so that I can add the subtitle, since it can't be added now?

If you feel that the book could benefit from a relaunch that would be a good idea. Come to my open office hours on Wednesdays at 8pm eastern and I can get more specific.

You can republish or wait until you have a second edition.

You could. But you would need a new ISBN. But you could add the subtitle to your ebook and Ingram titles without that. It’s just Amazon kdp print titles that lock the subtitle down. I wish they wouldn’t!

Have you tried pubby.com? You don’t gift a book but you upload yours and then the more you review other books the more points (they call them snaps) that you earn so you can post your book for review. I have seen my authors have good luck recently with this platform.

Go to kdp -> Help -> Scroll to the bottom left and click Contact Us -> choose the first option on the left and you will see the selection to Add Categories. You need to have the full list of categories with their path. Follow the instructions.

hmm..it is a great video, great info, but then I noticed he was touching his nose a lot...i mean like..a hell of a lot..I mean...a lot a lot..I wonder what was going there, maybe he was nervous or a slight subconscious thing he was doing but didn't notice, but he must have, he speaks well, he knows he's on camera, it put me off after a while and found myself betting with myself, when he would touch his nose again..it's okay.i didn't have to wait too long...i'm not being vindictive, but good information still..
