Hi. Love this Shaw. Wanted to start it tonight but don't have 7mm needle. I have a 6.0. would that work?

Hi, I would recommend the 7 mm because using a smaller hook will make the project smaller xx hope this helps!

I'm going to give this a try. I have some Caron Simply soft in various shades of brown that i think would be pretty. I love making scarves but never have made a pocket shawl. I am familiar with the Lemon Peel pattern so this is a good place to start. Thank you. Do you think I should still use a 7mm hook with caron simply soft? I thought about using a 6mm hook.

Thank you so much! I think Caron Simply Soft is a great yarn, however it is a bit thinner than the one used in this project, so the project may come out slightly smaller. Also if you go with a smaller hook (6 mm), it may make this project even smaller. I would definitely stick with the 7 mm crochet hook, and maybe use a yarn that is a bit thicker than Caron Simply Soft if possible
