Bought a brand new 2013 DRZSM, owned it for 2 years and sold it for a 2015 FZ07. And I now own a 2018 DRZSM. lol you'll miss it.

Thanks for your insights! Originally I was going the same direction as you with the DR-Z 400S, then find a set of 17" SM wheels. However, as of Oct 13th 2020 I ended up getting the 2020 DR-Z400SM! It's got the black wheels and white plastics and I'm waiting for delivery from Oahu to Maui in Hawaiian Islands! I already ordered the Yoshimura full exhaust pkg, Jet kit, K&N air filter, header/mid/exhaust pipe, foot and shifter levers, rear led/integrated light replacement, clutch/brake handles, changing to 15 tooth front/ 41 tooth rear sprocket, utility rack, 2 inch rear drop kit, shortened kickstand. The list will continue until I get my new ride dialed in!😷 I can't wait! Oh, and again thank you for helping me make up my mind! Now I'm going to start looking for 18 inch rear and 21 inch front wheels.....🤙

Love the channel bro. What ever you choose, it'll be the right choice for you. I've decided that once I'm done my schooling here in November I'm going to buy a drz400. Your videos have been one of the reasons of choosing this bike. Best of luck with your next ride brother

Sucks you cant keep the drz and have the bolt. I just found your channels.and you made me jump the gun on a drz with a full powerbomb system and 3x3 mod. As far as what you do next im indifferent. Have you considered going the adv route? Africa twin, vstrom, gs 1200?
@socalmoto7146 жыл бұрын
Collin Mac I’m looking at all my options. Ideally I’d have both and we’ll see what I can swing. At the end of the day I can always hold my drz and wait until I can have both. Thanks for the comment

Have you thought about the Yamaha Bolt?
@MyRandomLife2476 жыл бұрын
Why not an adventure bike? Still comfortable and fast but can still go off-road? Heaps of Japanese options out there. That's why I sold my FZ8, want to explore more.
@socalmoto7146 жыл бұрын
MyRandomLife247 I’ll look into it but I’ve never been a huge fan. They’re the crossover of bikes to me and I want more of a machine that knows what it is rather than trying to be too many things at once. Just my weird preference. I appreciate the ideas

I'll keep mine until the day I die, Because, I live in an isolated spot in the rain forest of Australia and it just kicks serious arse going up my driveway, which is steep, gravel and often wet! So... when I off to work... I have fun, that makes it the perfect bike in MY situation. if I lived in TOWN, then yeah, I'd need something more ...... crusier!

Sooooo can/is a DRZ? It'd be stupid to sell a DRZ for a DR650, they're too similar.
@joespratling6 жыл бұрын
For traveling I would look at sport touring bikes! That’s just my opinion though. Or BMW adventure bikes are awesome my neighbor has one with an 8 gallon tank and he can ride around 400 miles on one tank
@joespratling6 жыл бұрын
The bolt only has a 3 gallon tank. Not bashing I think they’re really cool bikes really cool looking and I love Yamaha. But going on day trips it’s nice to not have to stop and gas up a lot or run the risk of running out
