We bought a 5th wheel first, our daughter was a travel nurse and had one and we thought we would need more space. However it was to big and cumbersome and a lot of work when we were traveling pretty often. We found and down sized to a 2005 Airstream Safari 30 fbb, which we loved and lived in for almost 2 years. We found a good deal on a 2016 30 fbb flying cloud last fall in Michigan so we bought it. The tanks are bigger for boondocking and it has a lot of convenient features. We sold our 2005 for more than we paid for it.

We lived in our 25' classic for six years after a six month , 15 thousand mile voyage from Ca. To Me. And back, still have it and love it as much.

We bought our 2020 FC 27 FBT from Woodland Airstream. A really good buying and service experience. Our salesman (Steve) took really good care of us. Erik was also very helpful.

We where very sad watching this clip, Walter was crying, saying “No, we live in an Airstream, No.” Then he was happy again when you purchased Jolly Jr.

That is AWESOME! I'm glad you can continue your RV life in a way that best suits you three. Also, I totally agree with living life instead of waiting to live life.

Good luck with the baby and the Caravel Airstream. Learning a lot from you guys. Enjoy your videos, where tbe cats?

Thank you! The cats are still here and are loving the extra space that comes with an apartment. And they’ll be staying home when we go on upcoming trips in the Airstream. It will just be us and the baby!

We are from Mt. Pleasant MI. It’s so crazy the similarity of our Airstream stories, actually it’s more like a flip flop. Being completely new to RVing we headed out January of 2019 to New Jersey. We purchased our Flying Cloud 19CB from Patrick!! Since then we have met the folks at Woodland and they have treated us as if we had purchased from them. This past Friday we sold our FC 19CB to a gentleman that traveled from Arizona to pick it up. It sold for more than we paid so I can attest to the phenomenal Airstream resale value. We met the buyer at the Ionia Recreational Area and let our first AS go. From there we headed to Grand Rapids to Woodland Airstream to place our order for a Globetrotter 27 FBT from Erik! So we both purchased our first AS from Patrick in New Jersey and our second AS from Erik in Michigan. You went from a 27 to a 16 and we went to from a 19 to a 27. Your first unit is the same model as our second unit! Anyway, had to share!! Hope the growing family is doing well and that you got to do some camping prior to the cold settling in. We can’t wait to pick up our Shiny COW (cottage on wheels)(nickname Norman) in January!!!

Ha, that's amazing! Our stories are almost perfect inverses of one another. When will your Globetrotter be arriving? We loved every minute with ours (except for the few moments when the heater was on the fritz). And it's great to know that we both found the two best Airstream dealers in the country! ;)

@@FreeandSimple Our Globetrotter is to be built by 12/21 and delivered to Woodland in January, so excited! Our paths may have also crossed at Eaton Air, what year did you come through? We went in 2019 and actually won the Airstream 50’s decoration contest with our FC 19CB, it was a lot of fun!!! I would attach a pic but don’t see any way to do that. We had lots of warranty work our first year but Woodland was great getting everything taken care of!!
@FreeandSimple4 жыл бұрын
We probably did cross paths! We weren't there in our Airstream but we came by for an afternoon with my parents. It was so fun seeing all the Airstreams lining the street. I'll look back through the original footage we captured to see if we can find your Airstream!

That’s exciting! You weren’t kidding about wanting to go smaller! Haha. I’m very curious as to the reason. Are you planning to travel full time with a baby? Or is it just for shorter duration trips?
@FreeandSimple4 жыл бұрын
We’re working on another video to explain all the reasons why, but in short we don’t plan on going full time again. Just shorter trips around Michigan, working up to 2+ months to travel across the country once this baby is a little older!
@tammitaber55974 жыл бұрын
I’m curious why you downsized. That surprises me. I assume you won’t be living in the trailer though right?
@FreeandSimple4 жыл бұрын
More on this in an upcoming video! But in short, we decided that with the baby coming we wanted his first year to have a little more stability, especially with this pandemic! And we like having a home base near family to come and go from on part time trips. We've already got a few planned for a month after Baby Keat's due date!
@tammitaber55974 жыл бұрын
Free and Simple that makes total sense. I have been watching you from the beginning. 😃. I’m so happy for you both on having your first baby. You will need a home for a while to get the help from family and just have more space till your baby gets a bit bigger. So glad you’ll still have an airstream so at some point we will see you all three travel again! Note that the kitties will be like “who the hell is this? Get rid of this crying baby!” Haha at least that was my experience when we brought our daughter home 38 years ago and we had a very spoiled cat. Take care of each other!
@FreeandSimple4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! We cannot wait to get back out, especially with a baby in a baby airstream! And good note on cat + baby life. So far Whitman just thinks that every new baby thing is a new sleeping spot for him - crib, changing pad, baby toys, everything!
@tammitaber55974 жыл бұрын
Free and Simple exactly! My cat Sasha who was an amazing girl got into my daughters crib once and I was like “oh hell no”. It was all fine really but they are jealous for sure for a while. Just give them lots of love and it will be fine.
