Fasting? The guy is wasting away before our eyes and is clearly describing the onset of major organ failure with these symptoms. I know you mean well and I've had some good success with a Mediterranean low carb diet coupled with intermittent fasting myself. But right now is not the time for this it really isn't, he needs urgent medical assessment at a competent medical facility. I've actually suggested a couple in KL and one in Bangkok I've used myself and are absolutely top notch so I'm praying he goes and goes very soon Diet and fasting can definitely be worth him looking at longer term if he gets through this accute phase but I'm genuinely worried for the dude that he won't be around to try long term solutions if he doesn't act fast.

its sad with some Americans and the healthcare culture they take with them from the Us. The american health-culture since long time is to ignore physical problems or sit home and eat painkillers or self-medicate and "ride it out" I almost had to force a Us friend to go on a full checkup because he complaining so much and looked real bad ..and he was chocked when he discovered it only costed him total 50$ and pay cash - no insurance needed. My tip for my american friends. Go on regular checkups in se-asia. its damn cheap and if u catch the problems early it will be cheaper and more easy to fix before it gets a real problem..You only have one body and one life. 🙏

Former Dumaguete expat Markie Shumate always avoided Colon screening and never wanted a colonoscopy. He found out three years ago he had colon cancer. Unfortunately he has not survived treatment in the US and has passed away. Get those screenings especially when they are a low cost to get them. Make sure you are hydrating like crazy. 1oz per pound per day at least. Lower your stress whatever it takes even if that means you need to stop working so much and spend more time just being happy. Life is short, don't sweat the small stuff.

My liver is scarred from Scirosis from former alcohol abuse. I knocked off the booze and function returned with good food . But the scars never go awsy. Liver transplant might be an option but hope it gets better naturally ❤

If we may say medically speaking you should go to Manila and get a physical head to toe and do not tell them about any pre-existing problems you have and see how much shows up on your physical.... Then I would evaluate Thailand if they come back and tell you that you're ready to run a marathon.. then you know they're full of s*** and it was money well spent?? Mate I doubt you'll read this but on the off chance you do PLEASE go get these medical issues addressed somewhere competent NOW. Not next month or next week, get organised to go now. If the US is too far and too expensive there are some excellent options a short flight away in Malaysia and Thailand. I've used both and found the Bummugrud in Bangkok absolutely top notch but actually I prefer The Gleneagles in Kuala Lumpur even more and Prince Court Medical Centre also in Kuala Lumpur is honestly the best hospital I've ever been to in my life , it's ranked consistently in the top 10 in the world and - at the risk of sounding like an ad - its extremely affordable given the quality. Malaysia has the added advantage that everyone speaks excellent English so no language barrier issues it's like native speaker level with the doctors. But whenever you go mate please please do it NOW. Stop dicking around building walls in 37c heat when you're obvious seriously ill. I respect your work ethic but you're no good to your family dead mate and that shortness of breath combined with your liver issues is a massive red warning light. Please don't ignore it any longer - go now you can sort everything out in the phills later. You're stubborn as hell and think you know best but when you're this beat up you don't. You really don't And I say that with love and as a Scotsman who is the exact same way. Take care mate, love you brother!

If you were to return to the US do you qualify for Medicare or Medicaid ? Some states offer more services like perhaps Washington state. I know nothing about Thailand except that a procedure there is a fraction of that in the US . Best of luck brother ❤
