Omg I forgot to tell you I love it when you take us to market also I’ve learned so much about sheep from you and your endeavors….. not that a 73 yr old Grandma in Illinois USA needs to learn about sheep …. But I love it I watch you and Sandi religiously and others 🐑🐏

It's good to see another 73 yr. old grandma! We're never too old to learn, and to encourage these awesome young farmers. I knew nothing about sheep except that they were fun to watch. Thanks, Cammie, for being such an incredible and joyful teacher.

Hi Cammie, I enjoy watching you and Sandi Brock raise your sheep flocks. 🥰 It's interesting to follow you to the market. Animal auctions are far more exciting than hay/straw auctions. 👍 My family owned small farm that had a few Angus cows and Holstein steers. We grew cash crops, and harvested hay/straw to feed livestock. My brother and I raised chickens for Future Farmers of America. So viewing your family farm brings back fond memories. Now I live vicariously through you and your farm life. I never handled a sheep before, but I did watch a ewe give birth to twins in 15 minutes. My dad's dad raised sheep and said they can be stupid sometimes. If a ewe lays down & cannot get up or gives up trying, she will die. I do not know if that's true but hope that hasn't happened to you. Thank you for listening to my story from former farmer's daughter in Perry, MI USA. 🇺🇸

My several great greats and my maiden name is Neilson. The landscape around you is so beautiful! I enjoy you and Lizzy and little Jock very much! I am a 74 yr old Grandma from Kansas. I love your channel. I know the old saying is that you’ll never meet a poor farmer but 5 months of nurturing to accrue just over a 100 pounds a head is a hard living! It’s definitely a job that you have to love to do. A week maternity?!!! I gave birth and was back working the next day, my friend gave birth and was back working on the farm the same afternoon! You’re a fab farmer and a joy to watch xx

I'm learning so much from your channel. Like to think I helped herd some errant sheep off the road today, but all I did was stop my motorbike in the middle of the road when I saw them and they jumped back into the hedge right next to me! 🤣 Did they think ah theres a motor, must turn here?! Anyway I got a thumbs up from the guy in the pick up so must have done something right! Thanks for another video, from a wannabe pet sheep owner. Cheers Cammie!

I have learned so much about farming from your videos. I know I feel better if I shave before I head to town, not sure if it makes me look better or more attractive... I'm guessing that there is no shortage of lambs at market now as many are taking them off pasture and sending them to the market, so that average isn't all bad when you consider all things. I'm not sure how you'd change that as you seem to be doing a fine job of it. Maybe try to lamb earlier to get them to market sooner, but I'm sure that raises more issues...whatevs, farming is farming, a gamble at every turn. Thanks for the video and good luck

Suffolk tup on texel x ewes (out of n England mules) is the cross that works best for me at liveweight sales. They are exceptionally heavy lambs that fatten easier on grass than continental lambs. Charolais on the ewe lambs unless you want to split them
