I keep trying to reproduce the way Selma said that line, but I can't. She was a genuine legend!

That line has stayed with me since the night it first aired. A friend and I kept saying it in high school the next day.

Today checked out Selma Diamond on Wikipedia. Fascinating! She was so much more than an actress. She was from Montreal! Started out writing pieces and making cartoons for the New Yorker. Wrote for, among others, and was friends with, Groucho Marx. There should be a book and a proper documentary about her. There's much more in there and connected sites. Check them out!

They need to do something like this for Richard Moll now that he has passed. Im sorry but Bull deserves to be remembered on the sequel series, and so does Richard Moll.

Since the tribute to Selma was featured in the end of the third season premiere episode of Night Court, the quote I laughed I cried It became a part of me was used before while she was alive during the first two seasons, but, I can't remember what episode she used it on the show. Does anyone know?

Loved this show back in the day. Disappointed rewatching now in 2022. Kinda syrupy for one thing. But Selma never disappoints. I'm watching the early ones she was on just to revel in her deadpan sarcasm.

They didn't give Florence Halop a Night Court tribute the same way that they did for Selma Diamond.

Just watched the Episode where the defense attorney mooned New York. Selma turns to Bull and says, "I did that once, in a Studebaker. Almost lost control of the car".
