Veng isnt made redundant, hence the strength of the Legendary Class Ring The reduced costs are applied buffs and not baseline/passive effects - meaning they count as full rage spent Likley a blooper, but you also mentioned versitility "increases" our damage taken Otherwise a really clear and thorough guide

A lot of guides are great for those at high level 100+ but when your low level (37) things are different. places like icy veins are not that useful for newbies like me. This might make a good video leveling up from the ground up Series for you. Maybe talent choices change depending on your level range. Right now i am doing ragefire I am a gnome protection warrior I am doing this dungeon again and again, the reason being even though I am level 37 the speed of the dungeon is great and I can't get lost, but mostly its due to speed that the dungeon is completed and I can focus on becoming smoother with skill use and cool downs My plan at this stage is to do dungeons that are smaller like hellfire utguart keep. Since dungeons now scale the experience also scales too, and so does the gear that is dropped., due to this it was perfect time for me to start tanking and pick a dungeon and get comfortable with the idea of tanking. I have played wow since 2014 , but this week I decided to try to tank. Dps ques where brutal. and I liked the idea of protection warrior, but the fear factor in running your first dungeon is crazy and I am mashing buttons like a crazy person. I am trying to reduce this and stay calm :) I wonder if also you can do guides of these low level dungeons with strats for the newbee in mind. Once I got past the fear tanking is really fun and at times very challenging depending on your team.

David Marks Forgot to add that talents/gear/rotations or anything like that doesn't mean anything until you start raiding or doing mythic + dungeons. You can almost always just use whatever talent in each tier you are comfortable with at lower levels.

I disagree with sintak, I think the only way to learn is by doing. I think you should stick to tanking its the only way you will learn. Just keep practicing your ability rotation, and the SINGLE most important thing a good protection warrior can have is SITUATIONAL AWARENESS, always pay attention to adds, who is attacking your healer, etc etc. Practice makes perfect keep going at it man :)

Hey Selwen, did you ever think about expanding this series to other guide content, for example dungeon guides crafted for rather high m+? Apart from the fact that if you continue this series until you have a guide for every spec it will likely come the point where you will have to redo the oldest ones or even all if BFA rolled around at that point, so you will have plenty of content to work on anyways, it would make a rather interesting Video series serving a similar idea :D Esspecially with the new Bfa dungeons and how many ppl take a liking in m+ it might also get you more of a viewership since most guides out there dont really go in depth for dungeons, esspecially trash pulls and tactics for them on different affixes, which from my point of view are nearly as important for mythic plus as the bosses thanks to the rotating affixes( didnt look into Bfa alpha this much yet, so this might change depending on their changes to mythic + as a whole). Sorry for the small wall of text, great guide as always, atleast concerning the editing since i myself never put too much time into prot warri and cant judge the actual advice this time :D Continue what your doing and thanks for starting tank guides now too :D

Thanks for the tip! - I've actually thought about that before and was really interested in doing it, just the matter of how but with a lot of editing I think is possible to make some clear and decent ones. Might be something to explore around the 15+ key level since is what everyone aims for weekly. Thought about saving that for when BFA comes around with the new affixes and all of that. Might do some test trials in Legion though :D

Selwen If you need any help or Feedback on Scripts or stuff like that just ask me here :D Would definitely make sense to wait for Bfa since the current dungeon content will be pretty much irrelevant than, even more so than the class guides. Going over it with giving people the basic knowledge to clear +15(or the respective cap in Bfa) in mind would definitely make sense, although i personally would also enjoy content that focusses on little Tricks you can do to make stuff easier, of which there are alot in dungeons atm, whether its skipping certain groups on certain affixes and clear routes or even little stuff like places where you can Grab adds with dk deathgrip on higher places so that their aoe casts only hit that level of elevation for example. Even though that stuff only really matters on higher keys i personally enjoy learning about such stuff alot and it would definitly help people understand the stuff high m+ players do on their streams or the MDI runs that seem worthless at first glance. I know that there would be alot of problems in going to such depths concerning the length of videos and attentionspan of viewers/production time involved or even such basic things as structuring the guide,but let me dream xD

Nice video. Im fixing to bench my Warrior for a Blood DK after seeing the direction of Prot warrior in BFA. Not interested in the rage starved deaths (obviously if they make massive changes i'll go prot again but seems like the entire direction, not just some nerfs is way off point for me)

hard to tell how rage starved prot will be - in the alpha they are running brutally undergeared and without azerite armor, so you only know half of the story. I imagine that blood DK also plays very slow with that little haste.
