I've been in the trucking business since 1968. My dad bought me a 1965 tri Mack for my graduation. Thanks for the memory and that song fits us to a tee. a.k.a. pop a top

My most cherished childhood memories was being "Semi Crazy," riding with my pop who drove them for a living.

Its called a winter front. They use to put the cover in front of the radiator to block some of the cold air. By restricting the cold air your engine would run hotter. and by increasing the temperature of the engine, you would then be able to get more heat out of the heater. the snap on covers where the fancy type. My dad use to put cardboard in the front. but you always had to keep a close eye on the temperature gauge so you wouldn't over heat

Tomislav Kovačević they are cool for nostalgia, but rough riding, harder to get in and out of, uncomfortable to climb over the doghouse in to the bunk, getting dressed lying down...

Anybody remember cabover trucks that didn't tilt. To work on the engine, you removed the grill and the engine was slid out on a tray. Old timey.

sabrina cordell old enough to pull 48s and 45s. 40s before my time. Learned to drive on cabovers. Old enough to know jogging suits, flip flops and GPS seem a bit odd to me. I remember Union 76, flashing lights to pass which nobody does anymore, and yes thinking 53s were long. Even the 90s were better than what we have today. Automatic transmission only restrictions on a cdl??? I have to laugh.
