As someone who has battled major depression, anxiety, and PTSD for more than thirty years I'm so happy that he's doing better, even though it's not like it was in the past when it was something to be hidden, there are still people who because they don't/can't understand what your going through or why you can't just snap out of it, want to make it out like you're just being lazy or some other BS. Even though I'm sure he wishes that he never went through this I hope he knows how much it means to people like me who have and continue to battle this terrible illness in silence for so long.

We need more public servants who understand the benefits of scrubs and hospital socks... It's time for the treatment of mental health issues to be normalized, so that people will know the benefits of therapy, inpatient help and meds (if necessary) The fact that he is ok with sitting down and getting real about all the issues - physical & mental just makes me ❤❤❤ him even more!! I'm so glad when public figures have the courage to speak about their struggles with this miserable illness. I've endured over 50+ years of treatment-resistant depression and have tried every single existing form of treatment, with only a rare remission lasting 1-2 months. Depression has robbed me of so much in life. To my perception, Sen. Fetterman still appeared depressed. I hope that isn't the case, and I wish him well. I'm thrilled to see he's feeling better. I've suffered from bipolar disorder for more than forty years, and it's hard, really hard to function on a day-to-day basis. Representative killed himself on Live TV because he was not of sound mind; he shot himself in the mouth with a high powered handgun at a Press Conference. Look it up. Lenny McAllister should be appointed to his seat because the work must go on. Please pass it on.

Yes i like him too but i can allow my personal feeling overshadow the facts that the man requires professional medical attention. it is common knowledge that many people who dealt with mental anxiety and emotional distress i.e. depression are prone to commit suicide. If we care for our fellow man who acts as a U.S. SENATOR we should be more concerned abuot him getting the necessary and proper medical attention rather than ignoring the potential dangers of being depressed; he needs medical treatment and/or therapy.

@@deanmay338 While I agree that those that suffer from a stroke (and many other acute & devastating diseases) can develop depression as a result, it is important to note that the most obvious symptoms Fetterman is exhibiting are NOT related to depression, but rather due to brain damage as a result from having a major stroke. While it is important that we do not stigmatize any medical condition, it is equally important to recognize that medical conditions can affect a person's cognitive abilities and may require major lifestyle adjustments. To put this in more relatable terms, If Fetterman were a pilot, would you feel safe getting on his aircraft as a passenger? There is ONE honest answer. ...I think one can extrapolate where this line of thought ends.

@@chrisgill1302 I hear ya. My response to the video was about his human struggles with depression, a stroke, and the subsequent depression aggravated by the stroke. My thoughts were about his struggles as human being with depression, a stroke, and the impact on his family. I wasn’t really focused on him being a senator, a pilot, a carpenter, or his occupation at all. He had a stroke several months ago and was just recently treated for major depression. I have no idea what this means for his political future. I am sure that his future will be contemplated by himself, his family, his medical providers along with the media and the public. Wishing him a full recovery along with personal/family happiness.
