Jennifer Battle Agreed
@bhudson396 жыл бұрын
While agreeing I feel there are big problems in delivering the intent of that statement. For example, if representatives are spending 30 hours or more per week fundraising, surely that impacts their ability to do the job they were elected to do. The selection to sit on committees is more to do with fundraising than with merit of the committee member. There seems to be a lack of focus on making improvements to the system, despite organisations like the EIU grading the US as having a compromised democracy. (I also found a Harvard paper, published in early 2016 to provide a road map of where improvements can be made). I support what Harris is saying, however am dubious of follow through.

The man knows how to run a business and WE ARE BIG BUSINESS... It’ll rebound to a high degree, once this virus has passed, coming soon. 2) The culture war - the left hasn’t learned from ‘16. They’ve doubled down on identity politics and on attacking police, the institutions, and history. Most Americans won’t buy into that. 3) Antifa and BLM, enabled by Dems, have terrorized middle-class suburbanites. Many of those who dislike Trump will nevertheless vote for him in the interests of their own safety. Dem's have allowed and promoted this violence. 4) Biden is a blah candidate at best and clearly has issues with dementia and Harris? Who cares!? Nobody cares about the VP.

Honestly guys.... I'm addicted to Colbert, and could easily feel love for this women, BUT this is NOT the way to do it ..... Colbert's fans are already against Trump and even if this is interesting, it won't affect anything of the present situation. FOX is the key and they already showed that THEY are beginning to drop Trump as they understand that this as gone too far. Invite FOX journalist and talk about this artificial crisis. If FOX drops Trump HE IS DONE !!!!!

threepenpals - Exactly! In _this_ way, McConnell is all powerful, just as he was in refusing to consider Merrick Garland's nomination to the Supreme Court. He and our "president" are _both_ culpable. Sadly, I believe the Senate _would_ override Trump, if McConnell would let them.

1) Yeah the same party that went to war with America to prevent the abolition of slavery; 2) The same party that founded the KKK; 3) The same party that had most of its members in congress vote against the Civil Rights Act; 4) The same party that implemented policies that caused the average wealth per black family to decrease between 1964-2014; 5) The same party that endorsed a President who locked up more blacks than any President in history due to ridiculous crime laws, and his wife called people of colour 'super-predators', oh yeah then he got impeached; 6) The same party that in Congress pushed for a wall at the southern border in 2006 (and Hillary voted in favour of the wall) then acted like it was so immoral 10 years later because it was the campaign promise of a Republican president; 7) The same party that refused to even acknowledge any compromise a democratically elected president made on a promise that won him an election, resulting in 800,000 people going unpaid for a month. *Yeah this party seems like they really care for American people.*

Kemal Same name, different platform. Remember, friend, it’s the republicans down south who protest Confederate monuments being removed; Democrats may have originally caused the war, but now they’re the ones who condemn it. You need to do your research - check out FDR and the social liberal movement, as well as stuff about Dixiecrats and that whole deal. If the crimes of the namesake really mattered, then why do Democrat contemporaries get overwhelming support from black people and minorities in general, even though they were the historically racist ones? On the flip side, I find very dubious the idea that the party of Lincoln is also the party of Confederate monuments. Or whatever.
