What people don't know is any astronaut has trained to deal with all kinds of unexpected things happening. Loss of orbit, oxygen, health problems, electrical malfunctioning. Sen Mark Kelly would be my choice of VP. He has an exemplary record & is a strong candidate. He's prepared to answer Trump in the most realistic of terms. The former Republicans who hold sway are focused on hate, terring down, false claims too easily refuted if anyone cares to actually look. It's becoming more of a sell than a pick. Kelly's success at glomming onto his wife politically is certainly attractive to the party, but if he is half as good as everyone says, they'll pass on him. Same issue they had with Biden. It gets harder and harder to find good looking unqualified help who can BS their way through life convincing you they care.
