You can usually "Clamp" any SENA clamp on a 1/2 helmet. The problem is where to put the speakers. You could remove the speakers and use earbuds. For the full quality effect of the features of the SENA system I do not recommend a 1/2 helmet ... At LEAST a 3/4 helmet Richard

Very interesting trial. Thanks for taking the time to put this together. What I missed in the video, is what the setup was. HOW was this done. I understand you use the ConnectRide app, on two phones. But that's as far as I understand it. For example: does this require a mobile phone call between the two people communicating? What else is needed to make this work?

So sorry but I have no idea what you are talking about. This is a straight forward connection video on the 30K. The "Ride Coonected" app was not used or mentioned.

Your video's have been helpful. Does anyone have an issue with Public mode not "activating" the mic quickly, basically missing the first word, very frustrating, is there anyway around that?

Hi Chris, When in public mode the mic is pretty much OPEN so as soon as you speak it shuld fire! Kathy and I have not had this issue and none of my customers have said anything about this issue. I would call SENA Support and see what they say. Get back to me and let me know what they say R

No, The volume should be equal on both sides there is NO left right balance control on these units. I would call SENA about a possible warranty

I have 2 sena and a cardo how do I connect them together? Can I use mesh?

Of course you can connect the SENAs. You can only connect the CRADO using UNIVERSAL INTERCOM. (See your manual) The Cardo will have to use the phone profile with universal intercom and LOOSE ALL OTHER FUNCTIONS Phone call, music, navigation etc .. You all should have the same BRAND. My 1 big question is....will the 30k pair up with the sena freewire? .. the only way to make a HD bluetooth is with the freewire.

Of course it does. It has all the same profiles that any of the other SENA headsets have.

No contest .... The SC1 does not have the features I need. And I do not see a way to install for the 30K clamp on the C4. So C3P's stay in our lineup for now. NOTE: the 30K's are out of this world in features and function we have them in stock ready to ship ;-)

I just put this in and every time I open it the thing tells me to get new updates on my device and shuts off. This thing is brand new why would it need updates. I cant even use my remote on the phone. Any ideas

Down load the latest version of the SENA deivce manager from SENA. Conntect your headset to it and update to the latest firmware version. Your unit may be new to YOU but may have been on a shelf for some time? Your device manager, device Firmware, and SENA app should all be on the same page.

Hi Ahmed, They are offered to us from SENA to demo product in house and at shows. YES they are custom molded for the cradles and mic to fit. BUT I cannot tell you anymore than that.

Hi Richard.. I just purchased the sena 30k and appreciate your hands on tutorial. I am only going to use it with my wife and I for now.. so which setting gives us the best range, bluetooth or Mesh? I understand that in Mesh we can also listen to music etc but for connectivity between us.. which is the best option. Mesh? Many thanks Richard.

Hi David, Battery life, use the Bluetooth mode .. 12 hours, If you want AutioMultitasking, MESH mode 8 hours. The 30K starts doing it's job when there are more than three 30K's. You need to understand the 30K is setting on top of a 10S and there is no AudioMultitasking in Bluetooth mode. This is a FEATURE so you can still communicate with them until your friends upgrade to the 30K ;-)

I have no idea what you mean. You need to clarify what you are taking about. ALL SENA headsets have the SAME Bluetooth connections. only the SENA 30K has MESH. Please message me for the long version of this comment. Why is the 30K’s Bluetooth side like a 10S? Only three connections and no audio multitasking? Like Morris code, telegraph, radio voice transmissions, HAM radio, CB and FRS radios, the SENA 30K is a totally NEW form of communications … MESH technology … a CB cannot talk to an FRS radio and a FRS radio cannot talk to a 2 meter ham radio, different “channels, frequencies” . SENA could have went with JUST MESH technology and NO Bluetooth option at all, but they didn’t. You can connect 3 Bluetooth units and those three Bluetooth units can BRIDGE into a MESH conversation with YOU and other MESH riders. THIS IS CALLED A FEATURE. So, think of the Bluetooth portion of the 30K as a asset and a cup half full until your buddies update to the NEW MESH. For the additional features of the 30K they moved the Audio multitasking to the MESH and had to limit Bluetooth connections. RIDERS, your cup is MORE than half full

Press and hold the phone button for 1 second ... Beep Beep "FM on" .... same to turn it off Answer a call "TAP" and release the phone button (DO NOT HOLD .... TAP and release) Make a call with SIRI "TAP" and release the phone button .... (DO NOT HOLD .... TAP and release) then STAND BY .... Wait for "Beep,boop, Beep beep" Screen will say "What can I help you with?" You say "call home", or "Take me to McDonalds" etc

This is a trick question right? ;-) Press the "phone" button you will hear the SIRI activate sound, say "open Contacts". But why would you do that? Once you have contacts open you then need to work with them manually ... yes? Why do that when you can press the "phone" button when SIRI activates say something like .... "Call the shop" or "Call Joe". IT seems like the simple way so I am pretty sure I do not understand your question.

Very disappointed with the Sena 30k! Thing that bothered me a bit about the 30K is how you can not listen to music while using the bluetooth intercom.

Hi Frank, The cost of technology improvement .... with out the MESH the 30K is basically a 10S no audio multitasking and only three intercom connections. They had to MOVE the features so USE MESH and you get your music AND intercom. This is a FEATURE not a bad thing ;-)

Stronghand Outdoors no, the multitasking feature has been moved to the mesh on the 30 K your friend needs to update to the 30 K or tap in and out to listen to music

Thanks for the nice comment Audrius ..... It could not be that you have the issue and not the 30K????? ALLLLLL Sena headsets 10, 20, 30, and upcoming 50 connect in the same way in Bluetooth, Has for the mesh it's allready ON when you are in public mode. Further more I have done a number of videos here showing you HOW, step by step. I see we have 79,782 views with 24 thumbs down I think that is a pretty nice win win for our video. Richard RKA
