Why does communication with others in your group have to be so complicated? Why cant it be as simple as the 30k sensing other 30k headsets and requesting to mesh automatically? Or when one rider wants to talk to the others they hit the mesh button, talk then release?

I have one 30k, three 3s. How to do conference between one 30k and three 3s? Which model needed to do mesh?

Myself and 3 of my riding buddies bought the 30k's soon after they came on the market. We also all own the 20S models and some own the SMH 10 as well. I must say the 30k's have been a major disappointment. I can't think of a single occasion during our weekly summer rides when all 4 units worked as advertised. When we turn them on and switch to mesh mode, at the start of our ride, everyone can hear each other fine. But once we get riding there are constant problems. There are always occurrences of garbled speech where at least one rider cannot be understood for a portion of the ride. The problems come and go. There is no consistency to the problems. All of our units have the latest firmware update, version 2.1. I'm also President of a local motorcycle Club and many of our members have the 20s or 20 Evo models. When they ask me about the 30k's , I tell them to stick with the 20s and Evo, both of which are way more reliable. On our most recent group ride last week we were stopped at a traffic signal and there wasn't even 100 feet between all 4 of us and still the communication had some garbled speech while talking. Sena tech support is also very poor since it was moved out of U.S. The mesh technology to date has been a huge disappointment. I don't know how the Cardo mesh works but I'd like to find out.

When I'm listening to music on my headset and then I mesh with someone it seems like the sensitivity of the Microphone is turned up or something that even when theres nothing being said the windnoise keeps the music either completely off or super quiet. What do I need to adjust in the App? I want to be able to listen to music while in a mesh but have the music playing while no one Is talking and plays through the wind noise of the mic. Or do we have to turn the microphone On/Off everytime we want to talk? Any help would be appreciate Sena!

Will the prism camera record audio over the mesh network? I understand that I need to connect the prism over Bluetooth. I have the 30K dual pack and would like to dual vlogg with my wife.

I have 2 Harley-Davidson branded 30k units, a friend has the Sena brand 30k, we've tried to communicate on open mesh but can't. Are they not compatible for open mesh although Sena makes both?? I have 2 units and they communicate on open mesh. Also mine says "channel one" when turned on, his does not.

@sena could you maybe update this video? I have been searching for 2 hours how to connect private mesh with my girlfriend. We are Running software version 4.2 : it's no longer called private mesh , but group mesh, and it kept saying group mesh failed when I held the mesh button for 5 seconds. But apparently BOTH users need to hold it for 5 seconds, the same as with Bluetooth.

I have two 30Ks connected in a private mesh intercom. I am trying to music share. The music host is able to listen to the music during the intercom, but the other user can only pause and skip. No music is heard by the other user. I've tried reversing which headset is host and which is receiver and still same deal.

Music sharing currently is only available while in Bluetooth intercom.... however, a huge update is coming so you can share in Mesh too... hang on about 2 weeks -Alyssa

@@senatechnologies Oh, ok. Thank You. This does confuse me a bit though because from what I understood is that multitasking is not available in bluetooth intercom mode and only in mesh intercom mode. But if music sharing works in bluetooth and not in mesh(for now), then I must not have understood what it meant by multitasking or what I read was false. Impressed with the very fast response. Most companies do not reply to KZbin comments, and to also be rolling out an update for it. A+

WHY MY SENA 30K ONLY WORK MULTITASK AUDIO (MUSIC + TALK WITH OTHER SENA 30K) IN MODO MESH? I Think that Multitask audio should work without the need to activate mesh connection... FIX IT !!!

Does the 30K boot into mesh mode, or do you always have to turn on then press the mesh button to enter mesh mode?

The 30K turns on in standby mode (neither Bluetooth or mesh) Then simply press the Mesh button to enter public mode. -Alyssa

I have found that the range on my 30K while connected with my friends in the mesh mode is at best 1/4 mile not the 1 mile that SENA claims. Very disappointed in the units...

On a completely open ass road with no obstacles around, it would work with a mile range. Any trees, hills, buildings, etc. will reduce your signal range

Hello. Yes, the 30K can connect to a 20S using Bluetooth Intercom but not Mesh Intercom since the 20S doesn't support Mesh Intercom. Thanks.

Sena why wont my friends unit go into public mode or create a mesh? I'm very disappointed in the mesh mode. I feel like I've wasted my money 😓

They have a 30K as well correct? They tapped the very top button under the flip-up antenna? You tapped your 30K Mesh button as well and both units say "public mode"? -Alyssa

Sena, yes. Bought together. His unit says creating mesh and then nothing. When I create a mesh his wont find it. I've been through all your vids and talked a sena rep. Idk what to do. I feel like we have a defective set, at least his. Sena said the 30k is on back order. These were supposed to be the best comms on the market. My other friends have 20s and they dont have any troubles.

First, please make sure that the firmware on both headsets are up to date using the Sena Device Manager which can be downloaded from our web site. Next, perform a Factory Reset on both headsets. Power the headsets back on after performing a Factory Reset, wait for the headset to give the "Hello" voice prompt (making sure to turn up the volume enough to hear it) and then tap the Mesh Intercom Button once to turn on hear the "Mesh Intercom on. Public Mode." voice prompt. On one of the headsets, hold down the Mesh Intercom Button for 5 seconds until you hear "Creating Mesh". On the second headset, you should hear "Would you like to join the Mesh?" voice prompt. On that headset, tap the Mesh Intercom Button once to join the Mesh.

Your battery is probably bulging and pushing the pcb connection inside, change it asap sometimes it works. For myself it didn't work and still no mesh. Sena don't give a crap if your warranty is done and will not offer repairs or parts.

Don't buy one, biggest waste of money i have ever spent in my life. If i hadnt fitted it to my helmet I would be returning it.
