SENATE APPROVES MY FILIPINO CITIZENSHIP

On May 29th, 2023, the Senate voted 24 in the affirmative, zero in the negative, and approved a bill granting my citizenship in the Philippines...
The bill will now be up for signing by the president.
I just wanted to share a few moments of the day, as well as some of the conversations we had in Senate during the committee hearing. This has been an incredibly overwhelming and positive journey. For now, I still need to reflect. But I am so excited, motivated, inspired and optimistic about the future.

Hindi po lahat. Many people from Panay & Negros look forward to go to Mindanao specifically Bukidnon for a huge meeting in Mountain View College. It happens every 5 years. Na stop lang po nong pandemic. People stay there for almost a week. After or before the congress people go to others parts of Mindanao to enjoy. Like my group, we went their a few days before and went to Gen San & CDO to visit some places and enjoy the food.

That relationship ended but I met another Filipino lady in 2016 ,married in 2018 and eventually moved to Cebu in 2019 . There were many foreigners granted Filipino citizenships throughout the years, mostly athletes to represent the Philippines in sports and businessmen to do business in the Philippines as a local Filipino. But as the Senator said, there were regrets eventually.... But I believe for Kulas, those who voted will never come to regret it. Kulas deserves the citizenship 100%.
