what it also not told about the truth of veganism is that to grow enough food for a vegan diet requires the destruction of massive amounts of habitat of animals, in fact many times more so than livestock production and i am not talking about todays intensive feedlot style practices which also produce an inferior product health wise for both the animals themselves and for consumers. i am talking free range systems that actually work with nature much as our forefathers did before all the chemical and broadacre style practices we have now

@@marvinmartinsYT Growing food in the bush? Easy, fill it up with berries and other fruits that don't need massive amounts of daylight. Fill it with edible herbs,ferns, trees, reeds and many more plants that don't need a lot of sun, there's plenty of 'm. Put a nice electric fence around it to keep out the larger animals, and then come back in a few years and see how much food you can gather. The only issue is, you'd need to do this and still only feed one person. If every person needed a patch like that it would be impossible, we might need a few extra earths for that. So maybe we should focus on interdimensional travel to look for earths that aren't inhabited by humanity and spread out like that. Sounds like the plot of more than one science fiction story.

It's called Lawfare, legal extortion by a specific group of people. No industry or social institution is safe from these grifters. It's essentially an unofficial tax on everything that raises the cost of living on everyone. Then it becomes a way to buy out and control whole industries at a huge discount to the buyers. Cui Bono? Who benefits? Always ask these these questions: Who finances these groups? Who are paying the lobbying groups? Who will gain from new regulations? Who will be the so-called expert consultants/lawyers that these industries will have pay to stay with in the new regulations? Who buys these companies when they inevitably fall into financial distress? Is there a controlled opposition? When you do your research you'll find a certain cohencidence that the majority of the ringleaders belong to a particular tiny ethno/religious group. Don't believe me? Research, ask these questions every time this kind of thing has happened and you'll see a clear pattern then you'll have your answers. Western civilization is being scammed on a mass scale and you'll be called an anti-!@#$% by the same people in the controlled media if you dare notice who is doing it.

I appreciate DL’s positions on many issues, and especially the way he is prepared to engage openly on all issues and call a spade a spade. I think he is correct about engaging with PETA even though I think that there is plenty of unnecessary animal cruelty that is not being prevented by current regulations. But one comment in his speech worries me, when he talks about animal rights “trespassing” on private property. In practice, this also covers drones that fly hundreds of meters above a property to reveal the real conditions of animals. This is not trespass in the biblical sense, nor in any sense that a true libertarian should wants prohibited. It is an attempt to bring information to the market about animal conditions. I would be please if Dl would come out publicly (even though he in no not in the senate) and say he supports changing the law so that drones can show video footage of farming practices. Otherwise, we are left with the bland industry standard labelling that assure us that animals are being treated ethically and sustainably.

@Charles Young So you think that little fact will stop them from trying? What if they dont know that dude? More importantly, when political motivations are involved, whats rational politically doesn't follow economic rationalism: so literally, what if you told them that, explained to them that, got them to agree with that, and their response was "We dont care, we are doing it anyway because in our worldview, this practice is wrong?" Additionally, that underlying advantage in trade networks means that the only way for others to compete is via protectionism, or by imposing economic restrictions or costs on production. PETA seeks to do both via regulation in America, which is beneficial to foreign actors. Its a situation where a company like BRF (based in brazil) gives money to PETA to restrict the factory farming practices of Monsanto or Tyson. It makes perfect sense to me.

@@adrak91 Even worse. Studies continue to find that plants do feel pain. They don't have nervous pain response like animals with nerves, but they have an endocrine pain response. Yellowing of fruit is bruising of fruit for example. Plants not only feel pain, but their responses are similar to animal endocrine response to pain. Ultimately, these crazy hacks decide they are the all knowing beings who decides what beings deserve to live and who deserves to die. It's OK to kill plants, but not animals. Not even eat eggs. Why? They arbitrarily decide moral standards. If they say so, it is morally not ok. Let alone the fact that you need both meat and plants to survive. Being an omnivore isn't choosing between meat and vegatables. Rather, it is needing both. They will claim they can survive without meat at all, but ignore that industries now add additives to flour for example to allow these guys to live. The food industry has to fortify foods just so people will get all the nutrients they require to survive. I also find that vegans are usually all about nature, and things being natural. Except, it is 100% natural for humans to eat meat. Our bones, teeth all ae designed for meat consumption. Once again, these crazies decide when natural is good, and when natural is bad.
@razerstone87004 жыл бұрын
I think everyone who eats meat has thought about the morality of it. Most justify eating meat in terms of nature i.e. humans are omnivores, of course we eat meat. This only becomes an issue when we anthropomorphise animals, at which point the destinction between killing them and killing us disappears. The thing I find contradictory about his position is that he clearly anthropomorphises animal suffering (how can we truely know how animals persceive pain..) but he isn't anthropomorphising their rights. I take the position that animals feel pain in a non-human way and because my understanding of pain only extends to humans, I don't have enough evidence to justify extending the sanctity of human life to animals.

When you’re accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression. Thank you for proving this to be true. How could we possibly live without exploiting non-human animals, right? How can human live without exploiting anything really? By nature we are not equipped with strong fang and claw like lions or tiger to hunt, strong sense of smell, nor any other physical capabilities that other animals had. What separates us is our brain power. We create tools to help us survive and grow in population as you see now, its our form of exploitation. We aren't ascended or god-like being that can grant rights or equality to other species. As a matter of fact, we don't have to, we are also part of the ecosystem. Maybe you are the one who are accustomed to privilege of human agricultural knowledge and food distribution. Even now some HUMAN still have hunger problem and don't have the privilege to choose meat or plant based food, synthetic or organic, whatever else; any form of food will do. It's obvious your agenda are getting the better of you. Exploiting human ignorance to create a cult and spreading propaganda.
@AmazingVeganOutreach5 жыл бұрын
@@khlua4590 I'm not so sure I understand your position. Given that we grow the majority of the food on this planet to feed to livestock while humans are starving, means that if you actually care about starving people, we shouldn't be wasting most of our agricultural resources on feeding 80 billion land animals every year. It's an incredibly inefficient way to feed people. I lived 31 years oblivious to the damaging effects of animal agriculture on the environment, human health, and the individuals who are abused and exploited (unnecessarily). The last 7 I've lived a much happier and healthier life by no longer paying other people to abuse animals. In your mind, how is that "creating a cult"? Also, how is spreading basic facts that anyone can look up themselves with the World Health Organization, all major dietetic associations, the United Nations, etc. "spreading propaganda"? It actually falls upon you to prove that hundreds (even thousands) of peer-reviewed studies from the scientific community are all biased toward veganism being a healthier, more sustainable way to feed the world.

@@AmazingVeganOutreachHuman cant eat live stock food, we dont grow human edible food to feed livestock and eat livestock. As i said, starve people don't have a choice, they cant just eat grass or hay on the field, but livestock can. Whatever we do, we will damage environment anyway considering our population, even cultivating plants make the soil infertile overtime and requires time to restore. Moreover, not all soil are fertile enough to grow human food. I highly doubt there are research comprehensively taking into account that factor over long period time and TESTED. Not just theory. The research is indeed biased towards looking for the benefit of veganism, and getting popular. Rather than skeptical approach and addressing the risk. Such as, the need to consume fortified foods to keep nutritional balance. Rather than, i dont know...eat balance to begin with. Even those dietary organization you get the "fact" recognize the risk of veganism. I dont know if spreading confirmation bias by only selecting favorable information to support your point is not propaganda, then what is. As for cult, spreading propaganda to gain follower is the way cult operates.

Dodi Jamian Again, you would need to prove that the majority of scientists are somehow biased toward veganism. What evidence have you seen confirming that? I’m genuinely open to seeing it. You should check out the UN’s 2014 report called “Livestock’s Long Shadow”. Check out a documentary on Netflix called Cowspiracy. And a great new documentary is Dominion (www.watchdominion.com)

@@AmazingVeganOutreach The lack of comprehensive negative studies is the prove in itself. Again this is prone to happen to any field of studies. That is why, people shouldn't rely solely on single source of information (journals). Remember on who funded them. Honestly, research are funded by interested party. Look at the research on cigarette in the past and now ( you dont have to, really). Its just what form my opinion on a systematic research. Profit and non-profit, at the end of the day, research requires money as resources. Anyway since my other points are not followed up without knowing your thoughts on that and only focuses on the scientist, this discussion is probably over. Honestly, I'm not gonna consume fortified food just to keep my nutrition balance. Just show the risk of each dietary option too (including balance diet) and let people choose.
