Please continue to push this topic until DeJoy is removed from his position and the USPS is returned to its former self of being a reliable service for all citizens. Thank you so much for your continued hard work for Oregonians and the rest of US citizens in the fight for justice and fairness.

Not only is it taking longer for mail to come and go, they also can't verify PO boxes and rural addresses up in Portland and mail just isn't arriving where it needs to go- when those addresses have been receiving mail for the 9.5 years I've lived here! I got a return to sender, unverified address.... TO A PO BOX!!

If everyone relies on USPS so much and prices raising is such an issue, then maybe they should start getting funding and customers should stop treating their carrier like shit constantly. Can’t keep people hired to deliver our mail when people quit all the time because they’re being assaulted, robbed, killed, harrassed by management and customers

I don’t even see the postal service person to treat them however because they never even come around to deliver my mail!

As a letter carrier of 24 years I can attest to the way this job has changed for the worse. Management and new hires could care less about when you get your mail . Its all about Amazon now, that's all they seem to worry about getting delivered properly . But that gets misdelivered as well on a consistent basis. Letter Carriers have had no contract for over 500 days while Management , Clerks and Rural Carriers have all gotten raises. Our own union basically gives us the shaft. Morale is low to say the least. Im glad someone in Congress is bringing this to light.

I was wondering why postage and shipping costs with USPS increased. They merged priority and ground shipping rates, which basically made small business have to pay priority rates for ground shipping, which ground shipping rates used to be more affordable for many customers. Thanks for being on top of things, Senator

Thank you for representing us in Oregon and doggedly bringing this forward on the senate floor. A birthday card sent across town in Eugene is no longer received the next day. It makes no sense! How is sending our Eugene mail to Portland only to be returned to Eugene a cost-savings? And what about the energy required to transport mail to and fro burning fossil fuel and its impact on climate change? What will it take to get rid of this DeJoy albatross. I'd hoped he'd be gone when Biden was elected but he's still there! Reinstall the sorting machines, restore the postal service to what it once was, bring back our drop mailboxes'! DeJoy needs to go!!

I'm a postal employee and I aswell hoped biden would of put someone else in dejoys position but he didn't. I have no hope that harris, if elected will get rid of him. It looks like both parties want dejoy in there to privatize the post office

I totally agree. Our mail in Ashland used to be processed in Medford so our local mail could be reliably delivered in one to two days. Now our mail goes to Portland and it can take a week to receive local mail. That is not efficient, it's a wasteful use of resources and environmentally unconscionable.

We should have gotten rid of DeJoy in 2021. He is a Trump appointee that was told to go in and slow down the mail. He has done that and then some! He tore out the sorting machines!

Every other delivery service that ships things to rural areas depends on the postal service, it's a common good that we need to support both for business and the health of our people

Why is Louis DeJoy still Postmaster General? Can't the President remove him from office? The USPO has gone downhill since his appointment by D.trump -I've received mail that's torn up by the machines installed in Portland. I recently sent a letter to my sister in NY and after 3 weeks she still hasn't received it. Fire Louis Dejoy!

See if you ordered from Amazon we are ordered to deliver all of thier packages even if they arrive super late. Amazon basically owns USPS

What needs to happen is better pay, better employees and that starts with firing these carriers that are delaying mail. Alot of the older folks that been around for awhile said none of that stuff wouldve got by when they started. You wouldve been fired... what happened? I get it, job security. But if your delaying the mail you should be fired. I am a young mail carrier of only 9 years in close to 7 as a regular. The post office needs to make the hiring process harder... it only makes greater employees that care. Im a carrier that cares about the timely fashion the mail is delivered.

I have had alot of lost outgoing mail lately. They still take my money for stamps. Dejoy needs to go. Poor reliability has to be the new motto of the usps.

Reopen the sorting centers. CHARGE JUNK MAILERS THE SAME PRICE WE PAY. That would result in these advantages: With the response of the junk mailers likely moving to junk email, the post office would find a much smaller wear on their vehicles, much less fuel used, possibly fewer mailpersons needed, faster route completion, healthier mailpersons, and happier citizens. Why is something which plagues all of America being subsidized by the USPS? END THIS!
