I am a Mauritian and a supporter of Donald Trump .... Diego Garcia is part of the Chagos Archipelago and was administered by the British from Mauritius, a British colony at the time. The British removed the Chagossians from the island and gave it to the US for peanuts. The corrupt politicians in my country went along with it. It's been generations now and the Chagossians have lost their roots and identity. It has been years of suffering for these people and I hold my government as well as the UK and US accountable. Something should be done for these people, which is the real tragedy here. It will cost the US nothing to step up, a drop in the ocean, considering the billions they have poured into Ukraine and elsewhere needlessly. You can't let go of Diego Garcia now. Senator Kennedy right on this one. But the untold story needs to be told.
