Rest in Peace to Bren. You absolute legend of WW. Kayaking with you in mind this weekend. ❤

Dude we love the effort you put into getting a kind of storyline throughout the video with commentary. Can't find that anywhere else on such a regular basis. The point of the video is of course to share your love for kayaking and getting us stoked to get out there! Keep going mate you are crushing it.

Did all those runs minus the middle section 15 years ago, thanks for the nostalgia. Great work on the footage, editing and story line.

Savagely overhydrated lol, that's a proper way to describe an epic beatdown!

Okay, here's your reason for making videos. A kayaker who can't be on the water anymore due to disability loves them, and gets all sorts of joy out of watching them. How's that for a reason? And yeh, that really was some sick water. For me, that second river would have been a class 10 out of 7. The other ones looked just way too fun. I'd so run those if my spinal cord wasn't damaged. Damn. Next best is watching you guys do it. Don't know if that's enough reason for you, but seriously, I'm laying here and loving it.

What a great edit. Video of the year! Whoa!!!! - 3:08 7:30 - was that a vertical pole in the middle of the river!? 8:56 - That's me after running upper Ocoee for the first time! 9:15 - Thank you for taking time in your video for these comments.

Pretty epic it appears! Max Kudos to both of you to scout out what's possible and what might be "just a bit too much," especially Huw for pushing his limit out just a little, but not so much to be unsafe...to live and kayak another glorious fun day is always a thing! Excellent video and exceptional edit, mate!

I know what you mean when say, you can’t state how rough the middle is. I paddled the “chilled” lower 2 years into kayaking and it was really tough. I didn’t even think anyone took on the middle. Great to see you guys nailing it.

Another cracking video - all of that water is looking pretty stout to me. Keep the footage coming.

Great video bud, the Oetz is such a class river… the middle certainly looked spicy at that level! Awesome to see the Crazy Eddies wave coming back in, that brings back some memories! Keep it up!

Unfortunately the only thing guaranteed in this life is death and taxes. Life is cruel, unfair and yet unbelievably beautiful. Most people not only waste their life, but never even truly live. Bren not only lived, but got to live his dream. Something that most never even get close to. I would love to be half the person he was, not just in kayaking but his outlook on life. Bren Orton will always be remembered, a happy, outgoing, caring and passionate man and kayaker.

Hello Brendon Did you paddeled in a Scortch ? I like that boat but for me as an intermediate skilled, 182lbs paddler, for many boats I am always between the M and L. As per manufacturer specs for the M at the upper limit and for the L at the lower limit. So I do not know what to choose ? Of course it also depends on what for rivers and runs but maybe you can fit all parameters together mainly for en EU class 4+ paddler with most rivers at lower water levels.

That tree strainer at around the 3 minute mark looked quite dangerous! Cool how Huw did so well due to you putting so much effort into scouting, guiding and just being there for him! Isn't the point of videos like this to show how much fun it is to run whitewater? Bren, how does it work for you with vaccinations, with you being British and living in Austria? Does the Austrian government do anything for you or do you need to travel back to the UK just to get a shot?

Climate change has angered the river gods. Didn't by any chance shred the flood in western Germany/eastern Netherlands did you? Didn't think so. Too much debris in the water, and too much tragedy all around.

It‘s not „In Oetz“. The Ötztaler Ache (!!) is a river, and you‘re not IN the river, are you? You’re in the Ötz Valley (Ötztal), and in the german language we have the things called Umlaute, feel free to take full advantage of your now enwided knowledge.
