When sending an email, what's the difference between putting email addresses in the To, Cc and Bcc fields?

i have a long conversation thread with another person where there is few attachment, i forgot to add another person to that conversation, how do i go about it? so they have access to all the old msg and the attachment that belongs to that thread - i was thinking of forward all to them and then add them in the cc for furture activity in the original thread, is this the best way to do it?

When we say we copy someone into a message, it just sends them a copy - it's the same content and subject so there's no difference.
