@@GamingSquadNet Another thing that happens on a failed roll in act 3: If you investigate the "meat noises" at Moonrise towers and find the hole in the wall, you can stick your hand in it not once, but twice. If you fail the roll on the second time, it pulls you in and you end up in the oubliette, discovering it sooner. You also get the condition "dislocated shoulder" which hinders your attack rolls or something, I don't remember. I only found this out when I reloaded the scene to record it. I continued with a failing roll cause I was gonna reload again anyways, until I saw the result. That scene is already pretty wild, but getting pulled in made me lose it lmao

I didn't even try the dice rolls but chose the waiting options because I wanted to see where this goes and it seemed like something my Tav would do. Apparently, Astarion thought the same and, in a very annoyed tone, said something like "Oh no, not THIS again". Later I discovered the hole in the dungeon and jumped right in, so the whole party followed. After landing, Gale commented "ah great, now we can enjoy this again, ew", also very annoyed. After he already told me that our definitions of "careful" were different when we entered the Shadowcurse, that tracked. Although he should be the last person in the team to scold Tav because of carelessness, lol. I love the commentary.

@@shibernyan2009 Not reference, but Planescape constantly had these absolutely inside-out things coming at you. P:T's combat was clunky as F, but the things you encountered remain unmatched. Btw, Icewind Dale 1-2 are pure combat-oriented games. BG 1-2-ToB are proper RPG, though BG1 is a bit outdated for its forest areas are mostly empty, unfortunately. If you ever want to try any of it, that's the main thing you need to know.
