I really dig the onboard pumping mechanism. Something about PCPs I find offputting, having to have extra (often expensive) equipment to refill them. That's why I've stuck with springers. But this gun seems to be a comfortable step closer to PCP.
@americanairgunhunter5 жыл бұрын
Punky Rooster in certain situations this could be great alternative to either a springer or traditional pcp. Best of springer..... it’s self contained, best of pcp, easy to shoot well

americanairgunhunter how has it held up? The reviews say the internal pump will only last about 700 shots then it will stop working completely and it becomes useless
@Paratrooper234 жыл бұрын
@@DavidGarcia-pi9wn I saw another video that addressed that very issue. The directions tell you not to try and set any speed records when pumping it up. It WILL produce a LOT of heat that will lead to seal failure. It seems that if you take your time at home and pump it up slow but sure you can then go out and maintain the pressure as you go. They showed that about 6 to 8 pumps after about 5 shots will keep you at the top of the performance curve. I have 2 Benjamin 392's that are multi pump and see that they are a lot alike. I don't see me buying this gun BUT if you want multiple shots (10) at game it just might suit you.

How would this do in a survivalist situation for self defense and for larger game? The benefits for me for a survivalist situation is it would be easy to resupply yourself with ammo without the need to make powder and primers.
@americanairgunhunter5 жыл бұрын
I don't really think any airgun, inlcuding big bores, are a good self defense weapon. Most small bores are putting out a bit less than half the power of a .22 rimfire. And most big bores are single shot and need to be refilled after a few shots. However, as a survival tool for bringing in game, it seems crazy to me that every survivalist doesn't include an airgun in their gear! And that means either a springer, a pcp and a hand pump, or a design like the Aspen. The Aspen would be on my short list of guns to fill this role.
