As a Canadian, I can tell you canola is pressed to get a really good high temp oil. It's one of our biggest agricultural exports.

hey mate, loving the videos on the series, just finished them all! just a few things i noticed. i'm pretty sure you can use iron ore to make the iron tools. when you are looking at resources that need a pickaxe without holding a pickaxe it will tell you which tier you need, if you are holding a pickaxe it won't. I'm also pretty sure you should have a lumber storage by this point, in fact i think it should be one of the first things you get. either way, i'd say to get all storages as soon as they are avaliable, specially for building resources, and automate them as fast as you can, you can build with items from there and it makes it a lot easier and faster for you. I'm sure you know your way around these games better than i do, but hey, i have to do my bit of backseat gaming every once in a while!

you need to collect all the eggs and the nest too, new ones will spawn after some time, and you can one shot a deer if you make a clean headshot, but it dos take some practise to do, because you have to time it just right when it lift its head up ;)

If you equip one yari and leave the rest in your inventory, they will automatically refill in the same quick slot. Makes it easier to shoot off multiple yari quickly

You also need to sneak up to the animals not run up.. they will scatter and run away.

To get fur you have to unlock the perk for it. Warrior tree I believe. Edit: Nevermind. You found it.

Depends on the console. The big three are really restrictive on what they accept and upgrade controls.
