I'm from Montreal and I saw them live in this venue earlier this year. It was absolutely phenomenal, one of the loudest concerts I've ever been to. If anyone gets a chance to see them live, I highly recommend it!

I was lucky enough to get a last minute ticket to see them way back in 2000 just after Lift Yr Skinny Fists came out. Remarkable. It's still the only time I've ever been moved to tears at a live performance. There's something overwhelming about their music, hope in the face of all the horror. Gets me everytime.

Although i love their music, i was worried I'd be bored seeing rhem live, i couldnt have been more wrongz utterly mesmerising, 5 guitars, christ knows how many drones yet Sophies gorgeous violin somehow soars above all the boisem stunning band.

I really wanted to go to Mexico City and see them, but it's such a big city (20 million) and there are no chairs at the club. I'm jealous.

i worked in lighting for a long time and seen thousands of shows and each of the 4 nights i saw _gy!be_ live were remarkable and memorable… the different voices, melodies and layers of sound bouncing around the theater really do sweep you up and take you for a wild ride on their spaceship for the next while. _f# a#, yanqui uxo_ and _shake your skinny fists_ are the best albums imho, the former two well worth a listen, you’re sure to enjoy them… it was such a new and different sound at the time of release and those discs still stand tall today.

Loved the video! You reminded me that i should hit up some of Górecki's music. Godspeed's is some of my favorite music of all time especially after seeing them live last year, Im glad You enjoyed it :D Appriciate You making all these great reaction vidoes they never fail to put a smile on my face!

Great review, I love when content creators give some love to GY!BE, to me it is still a highly underrated band. I think one of the first time I've heard of them was back in 2002 when they featured East Hastings in the movie 28 days Later. I've been a fan for a long time now and I always come back to this band now and then, there's no other artist quite like these guys.

I’m not sure if you know, but a lot of the members in GY!BE are involved in a group called Silver Mt. Zion. They have some really amazing material in a similar vein to GYBE, definitely worth checking out.
