Differential As Jack Point? 差速器能支撑千斤顶吗？

I initially had great reservation in using the rear differential to lift my 2017 e550. The differential looks so small to me. I was afraid of using it but as you have confirmed, there is nowhere else to jack it from. I have since done so to change my differential fluid and to upgrade my brake pads to ceramic. I have the same exact jack and jack stands that I use. I also have the same jacking rubber pads!

去年夏天看完你的视频换变速箱油，用千斤顶也是顶后差速器位置，换完油拿开支架，因为顶太高放下来时车子差点翻了，在翻车前我快速度释放千斤顶最终有惊无险。w204后差速器感觉不是平面的有一点弧形，所以用千斤顶时候架太高有危险。后面我用举升机操作一切维修保养项目了。

不很明白是怎么样的要翻了，按说后差速器的支点和两个前轮是三点支称，应该是很稳定的。无论差速器壳是否平坦。能否详细说明，看看问题出在哪里？

@@LeighSr 我重复看你视频发现了一个细节，放下车辆应该先放后面，再放前面。我先放前面再放后面的时候，当时没有支架了车辆会往一侧倾斜。因为千斤顶只有一个受力点在后差速器上面。

@@petersun5788 您放下前面后，两个前轮着地，已经保证了不会侧翻了，除非车的两个前悬挂支撑力不相等。

I've done this many times with my w204. I do front first as it's a sport model and lower in the front, and I have never had an issue with it tipping. The only thing I could see is your front jacked up first and didn't have one or both of the jack stands mounted properly.

@@coolbreezelb5023 Thank you for reply this. Last winter I sold my W204 C350 4matic. All old German cars needs to spend a lot of time and spend a lot of money to keep running without issues.

For some cars you will have to jack up the front first because it will be too low if you jack up the rear first - you won’t be able to get the jack under the car

Yes, you are right. For highest positions, I have to jack rear first.

Yep, I happens with my 2007 S550, even with the highest set for the ABC suspension...

would you use any padding so that the jack not making a scratch in the casing of the rear diff. Also are you an engineer? Seems very knowledgeable and meticulous in the methods.

Thanks and my W212 is a rear wheel drive, and the rear differential is same with rear wheel drive and 4-Matic. So you can jacked up your 4-Matic in the same way. I have a 4-Matic W221, I also jacked it up at rear differential case.

主要是轻。在同等强度下，铝制的比铸铁的支架轻很多。另外就是韧性更好。

是的，因为没有另外设置后中央支撑点，铝制外壳依然可以作为后中央支撑点。
