12/21/24 Christmas snuck up on me, but I took a carload of very nice Christmas things to Goodwill today. It made me feel lighter and happier, knowing how much it would please someone new. 🎅🏻 I had no idea how much I had forgotten about: Xmas tablecloths, aprons, guest towels, Mary Englebreit Christmas books. Sets of ornaments. Christmas plush toys, and Christmas craft supplies, including exquisite Xmas decorative ribbons. God bless us, every one. 🎅🏻

Knicnaks are draining, as dusting becomes a chore w/ other dusting. Clothing that I overlook had to go, donated to a group home. Clothes that no longer "spark joy".

Closet is still overwhelming, despite decluttering for at least 16 years. I have things I bought 20, 30 even more years ago, that I hoped to fit back into. It might be time to let most of those go.

Yes i have one person i have to deal with. It is not easy, as she is a family member. But i have decided i will stay friendly to Wards her. But my husband tolerates her in public, but it's difficult to try and get him to accept her , habbits and all.

Getting rid of people incl relatives, just stop replying, distance your self and say if Q, been busy w/ church, volunteering, etc. Fortunately, relatives live far away and many have passed. Gossiping sessions dominated their lives about neices, nephews. Setting boundaries mean distancing yourself , blocking or changing # which we had to do some years ago because of pressure to stay and volunteer in an org. as no one appreciates what you do anyway.
