Over 40years ago I trained under him a really nice guy he bought me and my mate both of us dan grades a meal in Birmingham. His speed and technique are unreal brilliant karate ka.

Was a brown belt with him in 1991. His communication skills are no better! Always basics every class! Very boring

steve brinda kyokushin 3rd Dan. Purple belt in Bjj. Think what you like. Martial arts are were invented for fighting. Kawasoe had an attitude towards English karate practitioners back then. I got the better of one of his Japanese black belts in one session and he scolded him in front of everyone very embarrassing for the guy! You’re entitled to your opinion but I’m still on my journey at 47.
