This is exactly the question I was looking for an answer to; "Separation of Silver and Copper". Thank you very much.

This is exactly what I have been looking for. Wonderful presentation

Maybe they should ask for how many gallons of water was used for vacuuming?

I have a question for you. If you were processing a tungsten silver alloy chemically, can you use sodium chloride to drop the silver and have the tungsten stay in solution?

excellent. I recently became a member of the Sama group. Your work is very professional. What is the method of separating copper solution from gold solution? Thank you

Would bubbling Cl gas, (HCL titration onto Cl in gas generator), be cleaner? Just curious.

You do not need chlorine Cl(zero), but cloride ions Cl-, so using clean HCl could be better, but lab salt p.a. is clean enough and very safe. No disadvantage in using table salt...

sorry, but i don't understand the language. How many grams of salt are needed in how many ml of AgCl?
@frantiseklaluch6605 Жыл бұрын
Just put enough, more is ok... If after ading salt no more white precipitate appears put a bit more and you are done...

Silver chloride should look like that (cottage cheese)

salad, definitly salad...

Copper in Solution is not good for any life, when you trow it in the drain, thankfully it was only a very small amount. You should drop the copper by putting iron in solution, so that both metals change positions.

It's not that bad, they literally sell copper sulphate to be run down drains and kill roots that are in the pipes

I was thinking the same thing.

I do not know how is it here, but we had special drain system in university labs, that somehow, cleaned both organic residues and heavy metals from drain water. Being that pharmaceutical faculty, we worked with pretty nasty stuff a lot...

Are u going to waste the silver
@frantiseklaluch660511 ай бұрын
AgCl + NaOH forms Ag2O, adding sugar (glucose) forms pure silver... This is normal silver cleaning method... called lye-sugar method
@yezok0111 ай бұрын
Wow so much calculations just ad salt its cheap enough to waste a couple grams 3 grams would have been enough so just dump it in it will go cloudy as the silver drops out filter the silver cloride out add a touch more salt to the filered solution if no precipitate forms your done. P.S clean your lab equipment more often that funnel is just grungy.
