So many icons at one interview. My personal hero is Derek Roddy, I remember when I first heard Hate Eternal’s “I Monarch”, I was totally blown away! Derek actually turned my interest towards playing attention what drummer is doing and to pay attention to details and actually to learn drums, because it was just so insane. And mainly - his sound!!! Derek is one of the reasons I dreamed about having Axis pedal and now not only having Axis pedal but being also endorsed by Axis is not even a dream come true, it is far beyond that, because I never deared to even dream about that! And now at the last NAMM I had the huge opportunity and honor to hang out with Derek at Axis booth and even learn a timing or two from Derek is still such a mind blowing moment for me!!!!

I think people.are too fast now there's no way to go any faster if so it already doesn't sound good anymore it's not even brutal anymore. I think for metal to progress is to focus on more good songs not the tempo. It's like derek says it's the intent is not the same. People are just trying to out do each other and be different by ramping the tempo up with double strokes sounding like a bee hive.
