Man I love the ABC graphics package from that era, just absolute perfection to my eyes. Beautiful fonts. And the announcing team of Musberger + Dick Vermeil is my all-time favorite - they were so damned good together

Absolutely agree, and can’t forget about the Monday Night football broadcast team from that era with Al Michaels Frank Gifford and Dan Dierdoff.. ABC was definitely on top

I live in Columbus Ohio and that day we had the Colorado-Michigan game. The Kordell Stewart hail mary. Keith Jackson and Bob Griese. This was before the time when there was absolutely no way you would have two games of this caliber at the same time. Regional coverage used to suck. I remember being angry we didn't get this game.

Thus was such a great game! Jim Lambright's greatest accomplishment during his head coaching tenure.

I remember Warren Sapp talking about Kaufman and seeing Nap work his tail off in this game. So glad Sapp got to taste defeat at home.

Me too. Such great memories. Life long Husky fan because of my dad. I was so young though. Able to appreciate this current team a bit more than I was able to back then. That being said, I’m fully aware this program isn’t what it was back then, even with this win streak.

This game came 3 years too late. Better late than never. Edit: not sure if you noticed #94 D. Johnson for Miami. That’s Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Just curious, the graphic about Miami's win streak at ~13:52 Did they do the same thing for every Miami game once they got up into the 40s or 50s, or was this the first time they put that up. It is VERY detailed. Anyway GO DAWGS. This was an amazing game to watch live on TV at the time. Enjoyed seeing it again

Pretty wild that Washington had four TEs who would go on to have lengthy NFL careers in Mark Bruener, Eric Bjornsen, Ernie Conwell, and Cam Cleeland. Severely lacking in WR talent though, NCAA scholarship sanctions will do that to you.
